Happy Faces Is The Real Face of Depression

  Mostly depressed patients has these hallmark signs:

Feeling sad or empty

Having little interest or pleasure in doing things

Experiencing a change in appetite with weight loss or weight gain

Trouble falling or staying asleep, or sleeping too much

Being tired, fatigued, and having no energy

Feeling worthless or guilty that you have let yourself or your family down

Moving slowly or the opposite – being overly fidgety and restless

Having difficulty thinking or concentrating on things such as reading the newspaper or watching TV

Letting personal hygiene go – not bathing or dressing well

Recurring thoughts of hurting yourself or thinking that you’d be better off dead

But there are people who manage to show the world a happy facade.  And you know the reasons? They don't want their loved ones to worry. Maybe the situation is too much for her to share with anybody. Or the situation is too personal that confiding it with a family member is adding more stress to the person. 

Some doctors are calling it a smiling depression. Although this is still not a clinical diagnosis per se, it is very common. Smiling depression happens when the patient masked her symptoms. They hide behind a smile to make loved ones feel that they are okay ... that they are happy.

This type of depression sometimes remained undetected as the patient make all the effort to make her symptoms obscure. To the untrained, a depressed person is somebody who is very sad and has crying spells, & are unable to sleep or eat.

Individuals with smiling depression make use of her defense mechanisms as they often look happy to the outside world and keep their emotions bottled up.

Indeed the mind is difficult to understand, not to mention its complexities.

Trolling Destiny Wagner's Hair

There is a new internet hobby Thailand has, and that is trolling.

Well, it's all about trolls and their captive audience.  Trolls such as Nawat, Coco, Ian et al, are people who leave intentionally provocative or offensive messages on the internet in order to get attention, cause trouble, or upset someone. 

The trolls promote antipathetic emotions of disgust and outrage, which morbidly gives them a sense of pleasure. They are Someone who brings something off-topic into the conversation in order to make that person/ or person mad.  

They are the monsters who hide in darkness and harass people. Internet trolls have a manifesto of sorts, which states they are doing it for the “lulz,” or laughs. 

The controversy between TalkMissThailand and Destiny Wagner is creating a lot of hubbub and noise in the pageant world. But this time The admin of this Thai group has gone an all-time low when they compare Deestiny's braided hair to cow's shit. Really ...  and from the looks of it this Thai group has really gone berserk with the way they disapprove or criticize somebody, this group's actions are bordering on ethnocentricism - it's the belief that one's ethnic group is superior to another. Ethnocentric individuals believe they're better than other individuals for reasons based solely on their heritage.

What is wrong with braided hair? Destiny is a black woman why shouldn't she have braided hair?  She is proud of who she is, her culture, and her heritage, And for this group to dictate & insinuate preposterous and absurd ideas is like throwing mud to political correctness that everybody wants to practice.

As a matter of fact, Kim Kardashian has a fancy for braided hair, and on one  MTV awards night, she sported Fulani braids which should have been treated as some kind of flattery (as in imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. However, Kim was accused of CULTURAL APPROPRIATION  - defined as the adoption of elements of one culture by another, especially in cases where a dominant culture exploits aspects of a minority culture outside of its original cultural context and/or at the expense of the original culture for personal gain.

I don't think Kim meant anything bad when she sported that hair style. There are Blacks or Asians dying their hair blonde, who can say no to them if they want that.

Going back to this Thai group who are playing with words just to make a point, Pia Wurtzbach has already warned us the dangersof not CHECKING OR toning down our emotions when serving  their opinions especially in social media: THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK!

We already see this scenario a lot of times.  Somebody is gung ho about giving somebody a piece of their mind ... and then later when the heat is unbearable you see them cowering in the corner looking for safety.  And the first thing they do is erase what they posted.  Silly but true.

#Talk Miss Thailand in Destiny's case is most likely driven by a need for attention. Their comments, however, that Destiny's braided hair looked like cow's manure sparked negative attention from netizens, so they thought they succeeded as it gives them the illusion of being important because people are talking about it.

And now that the case is burning, and netizens are showing their disgust, they are raising a white flag of retreat.

And as they surrender their first instinct is to remove and delete them.  Fortunately, some well-meaning members were able to copy and paste their work, thus giving them an indelible and never-to-be-forgotten lesson in internet use.

Cheslie Kryst Suicide: What Red Flags Did We Missed?

Losing a beauty queen that you have learned to like is never easy, may her fans and supporters will find solace in the lovely memories she shared with us.

It is really difficult to imagine a celebrity committing suicide.  We just saw her in Israel and what we saw was somebody who was full of LIFE, and somebody who loves LIFE, and the LIFE she was injecting into her career. Then with just one twist of the finger ... she's gone?  Then you start asking these questions.  Was it really suicide?  What warning signs did her family miss here. Was there a foul play? I can't imagine a lawyer with a budding career jumping her way out to her death. Some-body as smart as she, making her goodbyes the most painful not only to her but her family.

At this time she left leaving her family and fans in total disbelief, now they crack their heads about what they could have missed. Were there red flags and warning signs, and now they wonder what clues they might have missed. Often, many factors combine to lead a person to the decision to take their own life. Did she do it impulsively or in a spur of the moment? Or she has been outlining these plans extensively?

While there are many factors that can influence a person's decision to commit suicide, the most common are:

1. severe depression - According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, depression is present in about half of all 

suicides.

2. traumatic experience - depression is common after trauma. If it is a case of multiple trauma, even if the incident happened

in the past, the risk of suicide is higher.

3. Impulsivity -drugs, and alcohol can make somebody impulsive, and the person would likely act on what he or she feels and

suicide was the most available option.

4. Loss of something important - ex. loss of job, financial problems, loss of social status, loss of a loved one

5. Hopelessness

6. Feeling of being a burden to others

Suicide is not a cry for attention but a cry for help. It was their way of showing the world how much they are hurting. While it might have appeared that someone had everything to live for, it probably didn't feel that way to them.

To her family and friends, based on the outline, were there any clues or hints that you missed?  If the answer is no, let's wait for the result of the investigation. And maybe start looking at the case from a different angle.

Why is Suicide Being Investigated?

Suicide is considered an unnatural death. All deaths that can't be described as death by natural causes are categorized as unnatural deaths. This includes accidents, homicide, suicide, violent death, falls, poisoning, or overdoses (intentional and unintentional), and drowning.

In Cheasli's case, police need to come and investigate. Suicide is not against the law but being bombarded by whodunit movies and social media flooding us with truthful or fake reports there are cases where a homicide has been made to look like a suicide, and the police have to make sure that the suicide has not been staged to cover up a foul play

Commentaries: Who is Major and who is Minor?

The battle between Nawat Itsagrisil and Andre Sleigh is raging. And the battle between whose pageant is major and who is minor is adding more fuel to the fire.

The tit-for-tat between the two just shows they are not Big Four. 

Look how quiet Miss Universe, MW, MI, and ME are, the CEO or founder won't stoop that low and engage. Andrei should not engage with a pageant or CEO (Nawat) who is fetching for validation. You just make them look important.

Do not get me wrong, I am pro-business and that just means the more pageant the better. The more opportunities to ladies and countries that profit from the pageant industry (e.g. USA, Philippines, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Mexico, etc). I can be critical to any of the Big 5 or any pageant if I see something that can still be fixed.

We should know by now that Miss Grand International Organization works in a way by making fire, starting one, and flaming it to the max. If you've been always saying Miss World is a cooking show, how come until today, as a pageant fan, as a collective, no one had been successful in stopping a candidate to join a pageant you call a cooking show. It's the same with Miss Grand International, they are fetching attention for years, don't give that power to them, blessed are those who wield moral ascendancy.

The best thing is not to engage, do the silent treatment like the other Big 5. The problem with most of us you still engage with people you hate, still visit and view their page, IG, FB, and Youtube, then you will be enraged by what you hear and see. 

Please, the world needs to conserve energy, use that energy for something that will at least be used for good. In turn, if that energy is passed-off, it started from a good place and not from negativity. By engaging with people and pageant organizations you hate, you just validate their existence, and then the more they get famous or notorious, the more they profit, the more they get known.

GOOD ADVICE ... BUT IT IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE ...   we promise one day that we will stop, only to find ourselves lured back to Nawat's lap. Or was it Nawat's trap?

Can online fans quit Nawat? Why is it hard for them to quit Nawat? Why does their Nawat's obsession relapse when they try to quit? Do Nawat's addicted smokers unable to thwart the irresistible cravings of Nawat? Why would they follow/react to Nawat's inane provocations knowing it can put them in a state of disequilibrium? The evidence reviewed here seems most consistent with the view that Nawat's sycophants retain control over their actions but cannot easily stop having frequent desires to get a dose of Nawat.

Nawat is addictive. The core issue here is voluntary control of behavior: Do Nawat puffers lose voluntary control of  their behavior insofar as they become addicted? Or do they remain responsible and in control, simply choosing to pursue the pleasures and satisfactions associated with Nawat?

Nawat has already toasted us, I included. I already promised myself that I will ignore him and stay away from him for good but here I am making a thread for him.

You Can't Place a Crown on the Head of the Clown and Expect a King

Andrei Sleigh, the creative director of Miss Supranational is battling it out with Nawat Itsagrisil, producer of Miss Grand International.  This has the makings of a battle royale and they are using the internet as the arena to voice out their heartaches and sentiments.

Andrei Sleigh of Miss Supranational has shared enough soundbites and/or ammunition that egged me to start a new thread for Nawat.  It is quite amusing that whatever Nawat says or does, quotable quotes from all sectors are branching out, like a little tree trying to spread himself so wide.

And this is how it all started c/o insider's report:

Nawat.tv: I am very wonder Miss SupraEarthquake, who will crowned?

And then Angkol's Manager Coco seconded: I can't hear clearly what she said...Supermarketnational??? What did she buy? Who is she?

And then Andrei of Supra responded a cryptic message: You can't put a crown on a clown and expect a king.

What does Andrei Sleigh mean when he said that?  Simply put, he meant:

1. Nawat for years now has been able to look at pageant fans squarely in the eye and say ‘we guarantee 

our quality.

2. Andrei may also mean You can put a crown on Nawat being a  clown, but that doesn’t make him a king.

3. It can also be interpreted this way. “You can’t place a crown on the head of a clown and then hope he 

turns out to be a king.”

4. “You can't put a Crown on A Clown & expect Coco to behave like a Queen.

Entitlement only leads to disappointment because you can’t hang on too long to anything. They’ve given Nawat a microphone and a song to sing. He’s saying big old words, and he doesn’t know what they mean. You can’t place a crown on the head of a clown and then hope he turns out to be a king.
