This perhaps could be one reason why the faithful of the Church are decreasing as observed in their numbers lately.  Aside from the blatant hypocrisy that is often noticeable among the ranks of the clergy, the Catholic laity sees erosion in the cherished value of trust owing to the questionable behavior by some active members of the church hierarchy. 

Response:

The situation has gone worse that Vatican laws were changed to baring their fangs.  It gave us the semblance that the Pope had to change Roman Catholic laws to explicitly criminalized church offenders -toughen the Canon Law and thereby police their ranks.

It is the biggest ecclesiastical law overhaul in the last 40 years.

Response: That's easy.  The reason why MIQ is well respected is that they don't have a Nawat who is too visible for comfort

(in social media, in interviews) to the utter disgust of pageant fans.

They don't have a leader that brainwashes everybody  ... that their pageant is the number one.

They don't have an owner who antagonizes candidates and belittles them if he has to.

They don't have an organizer that orchestrates fan wars between countries - provokes, incense, enrage, and doused

gasoline and set everybody on fire.

They prefer to stay on the sideline, unlike Nawat who wants all attention to himself. And they have self-respect ...

and self-regard and self-worth is very important to them.
