That Didn't Happen

Viewpoints and Mindset Comment- I was there when that happened. And there are no torches if Darryl Yap dissent that it is the gospel truth. Besides the setting is in Malacanang in Manila not in the remotest barrio in  Tawitawi. We don't use torches in a modern big city - torches are more for bucolic and rural scenarios. If the director is truthful with the minutest details of history, it is highly unlikely that people will use torches - it is just so unreal.

Well somebody commented that the director was just using artistic license to deviate from fact or form for artistic purposes or writers change facts in order to make their work cinematic. That's precisely the point ... because we are dealing with history here.  Any deliberate or conscious alterations will be misconstrued as historical revisionism.

And by the way who is this MAID that they are talking about?  Why all the secrecy?  If I were to be asked, making the maid public will really help the movie money-wise. The media for sure would love to get their historical perspective and points of view.  The trailer showed three maids actually and one was asking the other, "Magkikita pa ba tayo pagkatapos nito?"

And why were their viewpoints so important to Darryl Yap?  Why not the outlook of BBM or the opinion of  Fabian Ver or the cronies who left with Marcos at that time. Why the maids?

-Rose Sylvia:  If it is not a documentary, this guy is terribly unpatriotic to take advantage of a historical event, modifying, misrepresenting and giving false testament to what had happened, creating intrigue for personal gains. This is misleading to some innocent viewers. This could be deemed illegal.

-Vhacks Dichos -Of course, the storyline will be that of the Marcoses as the oppressed, which is not TRUE.  Who is this Yap. Where was he at the time of the EDSA revolt?  Where did he get his ideas? Bashers, trolls I know for sure you will have violent reactions to this comment, but clearly, this society that we are in nowadays so polluted with lies.

-Chad Hernand - The fellingerong famous director Daryl Yap, said that the film gives us a glimpse of the last 72 hours of the Marcoses inside the Palace, but he added an additional fake news about the people who rallied outside of Malacanang.

-Simo Sacdalan de la Cruz-  To make it short, this film is a political propaganda and has historical revisionism agenda.

-Kenneth Tan- Was the Maid in Malacanang high while witnessing these events?  The director claimed it is the perspective of the maid during these hours.  So who was this maid who was so quiet about her story for the last thirty years?  Why did she hallucinate that there are torches?  We need to identify and interview this maid who seems to be high at the time to imagine false details.

-Christian Ramos- The movie is exaggerated and reverses what really happened. They're trying to confuse people and establish sympathy for the wrong people. Tsk sad PH.

-Edwin Mel G. Garingalao - Yap is only misleading the already mislead pulahan into believing this fiction. Very pathetic.  The whole world knew what transpired during the last days of the conjugal dictatorship.

-Ding de Rivera - You can't twist the facts no matter how hard you try. I was there and what you say is farthest from the truth.

-Ethel Sucilla - Ang laki ng problems when the government sanctions a news provider for fact-checking and let loose all lies in all forms of media.

-Mark Aranal - There is a special place in hell for people who could brazenly lie like Daryl Yap.
