And it can speed up connectivity seniors want from children that were out of town.
But why do seniors struggle with technology? For obvious reasons.
1. Technology gap - Life now is digital. The gap is huge and seniors can't catch up.
2. Lack of perceived benefit - Seniors believed they will not get anything from doing so and keeping up with times.
3. Fear of the unknown - Seniors are a stranger to gadgets. Their lack of knowledge terrifies them.
4. They don't feel safe online. They are afraid of viruses attacking their phones, scams, hacking, or phishing, the reason why they hesitate when passwords are required.
5. Seniors hate learning by doing. But that's how we learn computers - seniors have to play them around.
6. Memory lapses. Seniors are usually frustrated when they forget their usernames and passwords.
7. Vision loss resulting from aging - glaucoma, cataract macular degeneration to name a few.
8. Lack of time. Learning is a slow process, and seniors hate using too much of their time, especially on gadgets they don't even enjoy.
