Slip Of The Pen?

An occasional slip of the tongue ... or a slip of the pen is normal and is quickly forgiven by the person listening or reading... that is ... if they even notice it. Even when they do, most people most of the time will recognize a slip of the tongue or pen for what it is and realize that what you meant to say or write ... is not what you did say or write.

Sa isang kolum nabasa namin ang title ng isang write up ng isang pageant veteran about the staging of the finals ng isang kontest: "The CROWNING of Mr. International Philippines 2023."

Nagbibiro ba siya? Saan ba ang crown ... aber? E sa siyam na nanalo ni isang korona wala akong nakita. Di ba dapat the SASHING of the winners na lang? Or ... if you find that awkward and cumbersome ... make it simple ... the announcement of the winners will just be okay.

A blog reader emailed us and he wants us to Share a Laugh and possibly ask our readers to CAPTION IT. Although Viewpoint and Mindset think it is not the usual stuff you see in this blog, it recognizes our need to laugh, smile and break the monotony once in a while. Easy! Huwag mong ipagsiksikan ang sarili mo sa iba. Tandaan ang buhay ay hindi sardinas.  Sabi nga ni Maricel Soriano sa pelikulang Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit ... "Ayoko ng masikip ... ayoko ng mabaho... ayoko ng putik" 

At ayoko ng mainit ... at ayaw ko rin ang nanlilimahid sa pawis.
