Self Reliance

When does "Mom ... where's my allowance" metamorphose into: "Mom ... here ... is my salary for this month."

Anybody reading this would think that all parents expect their children to repay the hard work of rearing them.  Not me ... all I want is to see them turning into a self-reliant person, somebody who can afford to live a decent life, confident in their own abilities and able to do things for themselves.  And while we are at it, they should have the ability to find a way around obstacles, the ability to show up and follow through, and the ability to bounce back when things did not go their way.

Bills ... Bills ... Bills

Talking about self- reliance, isang motivation para sa mga bagong parents para huwag tatamad-tamad o urong-sulong kung magtrabaho or hindi.

Gumawa kayo ng checklist para sa bills na dapat bayaran ... at listahan ng mga basic needs sa bahay na dapat bilhin. If that is not enough motivation .... tell! Kung ayaw mong gumalaw para maghanap ng trabaho ... decision mo yan.  Basta huwag kang sisi ng sisi sa iba na wala namang kinalaman sa decision mo.

Simple Life

Live a SIMPLE life.  You don't have to go the COMPLICATED route ... if you don't want a CONVOLUTED result. Watch and listen.

-If you are homesick and longing for home -  Dial his number

-If you are eager to know somebody             -   Propose a date

-If you want to catch his attention                -   Do the first move

-If in doubt                                                         -    Ask questions

-If you don't like to gossip                               -   Tell everyone

-If you like this food                                         -    Name it

-If you need help                                               -    Ask for it

-If you love someone                                        -    Proclaim it

Life is very simple but we insist on making it complicated. The beauty of a simple life is going straight to the point. and not beat around the bush. And tell them like it is.
