Pinoy Commenary

What does it mean to take responsibility for your action? Tama ba yon?

Something is wrong with that picture. Di ba dapat ang attitude "Oo nga binasag ko ang pinto-an, I was so angry ... I have to check my temper next time. Gusto mo ilihim na lang and there is no corrective action na ginawa mo sa sarili mo. Pag hindi nalaman ni Dad ... mas mabuti.

Taking Accountability

What does it mean to take responsibility for your actions?  Simple ... when you did try to break the glass door you took responsibility when you realize you did play a major part in why it happened and you acknowledge that you always allow yourself to give in to the invitation of your unchecked temper. It simply meant that when a mistake is made, you didn't fudge or lie about it, falsify and elude facts, resort to cover-ups, blame others, or become evasive.

Instead, you recognized you have a problem. And you identified what triggered it and what is the root cause of the problem,  developed an action plan, execute it and evaluate the chances that it might happen again.
