If people are able and determined, they will recover from any difficulties or problems and be successful once again. Of course ... I am referring to ABS CBN which is lording over the very rich primetime slots recently ...  making competitors shake in their boots.

Crippled by a personal grudge that escalated to political revenge, the vendetta started to show its fangs when NTC released cease and desist order and shutdown of all of its radio stations and free television channels. The loss of the franchise was a kiss of death to the then-powerful media mogul especially when thousands of employees were laid off from work. To execute the final and deadly three-punch at the end, the powers that be nailed the company's coffin when NTC awarded AMBS the authority to operate and use ABS CBN frequency ... the biggest blow indeed if one is weak, fragile, and powerless.

The three-in-one killer made the company kotow to its knees and gradually limp to find its own balance and foothold ... and without batting an eyelash lo and behold ... they are making a comeback! The primetime arena is where the buzz and the action are. Motivated by the success of the search for the new PPOP group the Dream Makers, ABS CBN regrouped and started a troika of Netflix-like powerful teleseryes (Batang Quiapo, Iron Heart, Dirty Linen) that stunned competitors despite its limited reach and financial setbacks.

Well, a new cloud is forming on the horizon these days and as we see it, the company from Mother Ignacia is singing " Happy Days Are Here Again." Because of conditions in the franchise that can not be changed - because it is necessary, the free-TV-less ABS CBN swivels its business model to become the perfect Lola Basyang - a company that is just like a spider ....who webs its stories like our old and reliable grandparents.

What I mean is, they are a top-notch content provider and everybody knows that since time immemorial.  Telling a story and being a provider of good story materials gave them torso strengths that are envied by competitors.

Its alliance with former enemies and its collaborations with old friends is a scheme that is paying dividends. What more strategies do we expect coming from their magic sleeves? I can't wait.
