Motivation is the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. For instance, motivation is what helps you lose extra weight, or pushes you to get that promotion at work. In short, motivation causes you to act in a way that gets you closer to your goals.
Motivation is a crucial element in setting and attaining our objectives. It is one of the driving forces behind human behavior. It fuels one to persevere and have patience until the objective is met.
Regarding the image above ... some important names crop up to describe the guy's attitude and their motivations ... or the lack of it.
1. Estee Lauder - "I didn't get there by wishing for it ... or hoping for it, but by WORKING for it. "
Precisely ... if you want to escape ... you have to WORK hard to make it happen.
2. Mahatma Gandhi - "Strength does not come from PHYSICAL capacity. It comes from indomitable WILL."
I believe that. If there's a WILL ... there's a WAY. That what happens with the guy on the right... his motivation is to escape. I can't say the same thing with the other guy.
3. Helen Keller -"ALONE we can do so LITTLE ... TOGETHER we can do so MUCH.
The guy can do the job (escaping) by himself. The job can be finished faster if the other guy has the same motivation as him.
4. Mother Teresa - "I can do things you CAN NOT ... YOU can do things I CAN NOT. Together we CAN do great things.
If both men are on the same webpage ... escaping is a piece of cake.
5. Audrey Hepburn - "Nothing is impossible ... the word itself says ... I am possible.
Escaping is not a Mission Impossible if you put your mind and heart into it.
6. George Weinberg - "Hope never abandons you ... you abandon it."
The guy on the right hopes he can escape ... the guy on the left from the looks of it ... abandoned hope.
7. Will Rogers - "Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over ... if you just SIT there.
He is talking about the man on the left. You can never escape ... if you will sit on your behind ... and continue to SIT and sleep.
