It is not a surprise na pag-umpisa pa lang ng mga putukan at pagtunog ng mga sirena at paggawa ng ingay ang isang buong kapuloan ... marami na ang may MASAMANG pakiramdam. 

Hindi nila matanggap ang reyalidad na balik na naman ang buhay nila sa dati - "isang kahig ... isang tuka". Wala kasing preno kung magwaldas ... maikompara lang ang sarili sa ibang mayaman diyan na magarbo kung salubongin ang bagong taon. 

Tsk ... tsk! Hindi na natuto ...

For every conflict and problem ... you have to make a post-mortem review and analyze yourself.

This will give you the idea of where you went WRONG ... so you can devise means and ways to make it RIGHT.

Self Reliance

When does "Mom ... where's my allowance" metamorphose into: "Mom ... here ... is my salary for this month."

Anybody reading this would think that all parents expect their children to repay the hard work of rearing them.  Not me ... all I want is to see them turning into a self-reliant person, somebody who can afford to live a decent life, confident in their own abilities and able to do things for themselves.  And while we are at it, they should have the ability to find a way around obstacles, the ability to show up and follow through, and the ability to bounce back when things did not go their way.

I don't feel it's tragic to see somebody not REACHING HIS GOAL. It is tragic if the guy doesn't have any GOAL TO REACH to begin with.

So sa mga may goal diyan ... huwag mong isipin kung gaano ito KATAAS.  Isipin mo kung paano mo ito MAABOT!

Sabi nga ni Confucius: It doen't matter how slow you GO as long as you don't STOP.

Simple Life

Live a SIMPLE life.  You don't have to go the COMPLICATED route ... if you don't want a CONVOLUTED result. Watch and listen.

Life is very simple but we insist on making it complicated. The beauty of a simple life is going straight to the point. and not beat around the bush. And tell them like it is.                                     

Defensive or Offensive?

If somebody corrected you, you either become DEFENSIVE by giving him a piece of your mind ..or you become OFFENSIVE by giving him a punch from the behind. 

One thing is clear ... boy you have an ego problem as big as the world.

Somebody has to deflate that bloated ego, the excess air in your head makes you feel suffocated and asphyxiated by harmless criticism.  You don't need to feel gagged or strangled by the pressures created by Narcissus (your narcissistic tendencies) and your pride that is so high, you become unreachable.

Let It GO

Ego ...  or BIG EGO to be exact is said to be one of the reasons why the relationship doesn't last ... be it a father-son relationship ...  or maybe just between a man and a woman so much in love. When an inflated ego takes position ... it occupies too much empty space ... it creates a distance between the two.

So when the father said: "Son you need to find a job ... so you will know the value of money." If the son's response is: "Do I really have to do that? Work can wait ... I am still enjoying the free money I am getting from you ..." then you know EGO has destroyed a suppose to be an insightful conversation.

The son needs to delete the"e" ... and let it "GO".

Monster Under Your Bed

How many times have you woken up in the middle of the night and sensed a ghostly intruder in your room? Don't panic ... it might just be probably the monster of your making.

The monsters you created don't reside under your bed. Or in your cabinet. They reside inside your head.

You Are a PAWN ... Not A King

 

You know what?  It is not the face that you see in the mirror ... that makes you the monster.

It is the choices that you made ... and your decision to continue living the same way ... despite being reminded.

Head or Heart

 

What people say about us has its own TARGET.   When people give us rave reviews, or give us a standing ovation ... when people cheer for us and give us applause ... when the company we worked with pays us some commendation or a tribute of some sort ... these warm our hearts and elevate our spirit and we are in cloud nine. A word of warning though ...

Don't make the acclaim, the accolade, and the compliments get into our HEAD.   By the same token, when somebody reminds us, critiques our work, castigates, and slams what we did, or simply wants to burst our bubble ... don't let that get into our HEART.

Taking The Credit

Guys we are talking about the same person here in two different situations.

When the RESULT is GOOD ... this guy takes all the credit.  When the RESULT is BAD ... this guy blame others.

To All Enablers

 

A wake-up call to all enablers:

We maimed and dismembered the leg of a person who is strong enough to walk because we choose to baby or carry him.  He like that ... by the way.

There are people who always think they are right. Even if they make boo-boos left and right ... you will never see them owning responsibility or accepting the fact that what they did was wrong. They can't afford to be the subject of ridicule and contempt even if the criticism is true.

Grow up, little man!  Stop blaming others for your failures and insecurities. Take a stand ... and own the blame!

I thought all the while ... kapag nagpakita ka ng gilas at galing sa trabaho ... may posibilidad na may DAGDAG sahod ka ... at BAWAS workload ... dahil promotion is in the air.

Maling akala lang pala ito.  In real life ... ganoon pa rin yong sahod mo ... pero may nakaambang na DAGDAG trabaho at  responsibilidad pala.
