MY Dad

I remember my Dad ... nagbibiro pala ... pero wala pa akong reaction. Palagi na lang delayed reaction. Kung minsan dahil nakita kong pinagisipan niya ang mga jokes niya pinagbigyan ko na rin ... tumatawa ako kahit hindi nakakatawa. 

Paano kasi ... kulang siya sa punchline ... and more often than not wala siya sa timing. Kung kailan ba naman masakit ang ngipin mo ... doon siya mag-crack ng jokes.  At kung napansin ninyo para siyang si Jhong Hilario ng It's Showtime ... ang hilig hilig mag-joke ... sablay naman. At siya lang tumatawa sa mga pa-witty remarks niya.

On Father's Day ... I want to celebrate his day by making a list of clever puns ... at sigi na nga ... para masabi man lang niyang  ... I am a chip off the old block. At dahil wala na siya ... pinili kong pagkain ang motif ... para magiging dominant ang theme at para na ring nasa hapag kainan tayo celebrating Father's Day.

Pageant Result: Man of The World 2023

 (Some Pinoy programs on TV barely make a glitch on our radar screen, but there were lines uttered that invaded our collective consciousness so much so that we find ourselves echoing its most famous lines in our everyday conversations.
