Isipin ninyo, tuwing may problema ka ba palaging iba ang sinisisi mo at hindi ikaw? Dapat marunong kayong manalamin ... because the mirror doesn't lie ... para makita ninyo agad ang problema ... na ang problema ay nasa harapan lang naman ninyo. Palinga-linga pa kayo at nagmaang-maangan. Unfair naman yong ikaw ang nagtanim at nagpunla ng problema ... pagkatapos iba ang aani at magsalo ng sakit dala nito.

Tapos na ang pagbulag-bulagan ay pagbingi-bingihan.  It is time to own up the problem that you created.

Self Made Men

I have only one thing to say about people who have achieved success or prominence through their own efforts. Self-made men are the men who, under peculiar difficulties and without the ordinary help of favoring circumstances, have attained knowledge, usefulness, power, and position.

No rich parents ... No connections ... No Padrinos. Just independent, driven, hard-working, and the determination to succeed are the most basic qualifications. 

Ask yourself ... do you have these qualities? Or are you one of those people who have imbued in themselves that the best way to a better life is ASKING FROM PARENTS? No sweat huh! Are you happy with that? What happens then if your parents are gone ... what now?

This is definitely a RUDE AWAKENING!

The Making of A Self-Made Man

Self-made men start from scratch.  They start with a zero in their pocket and all they have are their dreams and ambition and the energy to succeed.

Children of rich parents had six zeroes digit money in their pockets but removed the rich parent from them - and everything starts crumbling down ... all that is left is a dreamless, indolent, and slothful bunch with no desire to work. 

Self-made men are not born or made. They are self-made.

Ang PAGPATAWAD ay peanuts lang naman at hindi mahirap ibigay. Pero pag paulit-ulit na ginawa ang mga kasalanang hindi naman deserve ng tao at siya ang pinagbuntongan mo ng sisi ... naka-semento na sa puso ninuman yong sakit at galit.  OK lang naman silang makinig sa problema ng iba. Kung NASIRA NA ANG TIWALA (na pati safety ng tao ay iniisip na  niya tuwing kakatok ka ... at baka may gagawin ka) malaki na talaga ang lamat ng hindi ninyo pagkaintiendihan. Mahirap na itong maibabalik pa. And no amount of SORRY can bring it back.

Nobody wants na MAGTANIM ng galit sa kapwa ... pero ISIPIN MO ... may mga taong hindi rin madaling maka-let-go at MAKALIMOT.

Netizen: What are pathological liars? And how do I know one when I see one?

Response: Pathological liars is aka pseudo-logia fantastica or mythomania. Pathological liars often lie when there is no need to, his lies unwarranted and uncalled for ... and bereft of any plausible reason. Their lies are gratuitous ...lacking in apparent cause or justification.  They succumb to lies and the invitation to fib is overwhelming and irresistible. 

Making up stories becomes compulsive and made-up scenarios are large-scale and wide-ranging. The urge is relentless and uncontrollable it becomes a mortal sin if they can't lie in a day. Even if his habit of lying has already caused him a lot of misery and problems, there is no stopping this man ... even when he is on the precipice of getting caught.

Just to remind everybody, pathological liars are not included in the list of mental health diagnoses and DSM-5. But using the term pathological means there is underlying pathology or illness imbued why the person continues to lie. If a person lies 5 or ten times more in a day, he is included in this category

Netizen: I have read your latest post about lying and gaslighting.  Is there any difference between the two?

Response: Why do people lie? Telling a lie is a defense mechanism.  The person's motivation for this is to protect themselves and avoid trouble.  People utilized this unconscious mechanism to avoid punishments or humiliation and maintain their privacy. Sometimes they have to lie to protect themselves from being judged. The act is not something admirable and it is easy to understand why people are using it because it is readily available.

Gaslighting on the other is venomous and hostile, bordering on malicious. The gaslighter deliberately attempt to rewrite your REALITY (anything you personally experienced) and inject a different memory into you. It goes further than lying as its motivation is not only to deceive but contradict and oppose what the person has seen or heard.

With gaslighting, there is an intent to mask the TRUTH, and things you saw are now being challenged and impugned. If the person cited you and question your sanity, and your memory and accused you of being forgetful and a basket case all your life and that your eyes and ears should not be trusted ... and you don't have the updated version of knowing what is reality and what is a fallacy.

Simply put, all gaslighting has to lie as the basic component, but not all lying is gaslighting.
