Advancements in technology come in leaps and bounds, meaning it doesn't take long for new gadgets to become obsolete shortly after they reach their target market. That's why we're taking a nostalgic walk down memory lane, looking at some of the biggest, the best and the most memorable gadgets from the last century that have been outdated, outmoded or just forced into irrelevance by better, modern technologies.

With ABS CBN denial of franchise.how many months was it that my TV was off? I know this gadget had its shelf life teetering on the cliff and it will be phased out sooner than we think just like what happened to Betamax, VHS, casette players, compact casette tapes, turntables,pagers, beepers, rotary phones, typewriters, wired landlines, public telephone booths, fax machines, analogue and dial modems, phonebooks, floppy disks, walkman, MP3 players, laser discs, overhead projectors,slide projectors, DVD players, vinyl records, Atari, Nintendo, Gameboy, Game and Watch, Film cameras, Polaroid cameras, calculators, GPS navigation system, Gosh I am losing count.

And time will come even franchise renewal for TV networks will become obsolete and outmoded too, even the fungus-faced and eye bag-laden congressmen who enjoyed a short-lived moments of infamy and notoriety were not spared? Can you imagine the four Horrors of the house and 70 Congressmen just opened a new window for ABS CBN as it has finally migrated to digital platform?

And to think using this platform, ABS CBN doesn't have to shell anything and the bonus is they will be spared of more brow beating and bullying by congressmen who thirst for TV exposures. Sigi maghabol kayo sa tambol mayor. Soon GMA will follow ... after you of course - ABS CBN!

I am more slanted and skewed toward beauty queens and I have given them support 100%, especially Pia and Catriona, as their mantra was they are beauty queens with the heart. I don't know if I can say the same thing with Yedda Marie Mendoza - Bb. Pilipinas International 1996.

In this pandemic, seniors have been locked in the confines of their rooms, languishing in loneliness and boredom. Yedda has all the means to vote to grant the franchise, as ABS is our only source of entertainment, but she turned her head the other way. Kahit natalo man, the fact that we know that she is on our side, we can be eternally grateful. Mahirap bang gawin yon Yedda? But when we saw her again joining forces with the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse in a zoom chat, nasagot na ang aming tanong. Huwag na tayong mangulit!

Giving HOR a Dose of Their Own Medicine

The lessons of the past should teach ABS how to be strong. They throw you stones and you want to throw them bread?

In the SONA the president was livid, and he could not hide his disgust as he spewed invectives like there's no tomorrow.

Remember Cayetano and Villafuerte? They were on the ABS side before the marathon hearings & the duo wants to give you a provisional franchise. Now L Ray wants to use ABS for the government distance learning & Cayetano chickened out.

Remember Defensor, Remulla and Marcoleta? Originally they were for the denial of the franchise only. Now they have expanded powers and regrouped and have individual assignments. Defensor as overall chairman, Remulla will probe AMCARA, Marcoleta will surgically explore on the land titles and Yedda Marie Mendoza will be the muse.

Remember Ron Salo and Michaela Violago? They filed a bill to grant you a franchise only to turn 180 at the last minute and voted to kill the bid. Michaela surprisingly decided to inhibit. So many turncoats. So many twists and turns. So many lies, so many broken promises.

Is that not enough to reconsider your stand to allow these ungrateful souls to use your facilities & give them a dose of their own medicine?

Darryl this is an all time low for you, ang makipagsagotan sa mga critics mo. If you post something, don't expect that everybody will agree with you. Expect that somebody will dissent.

This is the culture in social media, especially if you come too strong in their estimate, vultures will come and devour you. That is also true if you are a celebrity, everybody loves hanging out with stars regardless of whether they are for or against you.

And you have to be careful with your choice of words because one pungent reply from you and you will see flies turning into maggots. I think you were just making pa"cute with your post and you were oblivious that you will attract more bad than good.

You blundered because you forgot you have a history with ABS CBN, and when you said "Rally pa more," you meant the rally in Mother Ignacia. And you conveniently forgot another mass gathering in Rizal Mem. Sports complex where more than 8 thousand Filipinos assembled c/o the government. If you have included this in your argument, you neutralize the gravity of your pronouncement. Not including it will be petulant and ill-natured to ABS & others.

After ABS CBN closure, it's about time DDS should celebrate and throw a boisterous and a raucous party to honor the 70 honorable house of representatives members who denied the franchise to the Kapamilya network. And what a better choice to celebrate than doing it in Mother Ignacia and Sgt. Esguerra Sts. & counter the noise barrage of the ABS camp? It's like hitting two birds with one stone But I guess the DDS can't. Aren't they called the INVISIBLE digital warriors of this govt? So how can they make a mass action without anybody noticing how many they are.

They're like COVID, the unseen enemy. No warm flesh, just wooden hearts & no sense of right & wrong. They are digitally programmed as robots- calloused conscience w/ no feelings of empathy & sympathy. They are veiled keyboard combatants with wooden hearts and vindictive fingers.
