Summer Is Here

OMG ... Ang init! Yong bahay namin lagusan yata ng mainit na hangin galing sa pugon ng BBQ kiosk ... nasa kanan malapit sa amin. Nakakapaso. 

Kailangan talaga ng aircon ... otherwise matosta at ma-heat stroke ka. On the other hand kapag matigas ang ulo at pinili mong mag-electic fan or air con  ... pagdating ng bill mayanig at mastroke ka rin sa laki ng babayarin.

Nagmeeting nga ang family kahapon ... kung ano ang katanggap tanggap na paraan para mamatay ... ang ma-stroke sa init o ang ma-stroke dahil sa sky-rocketing bills. Sigi pili na!

Summer Flip-flop

Ang Pinoy ba ay parang si Raul? Hindi naman siguro ... pero ang state of mind natin is quite ironical.

Kapag tag-ulan ayaw natin ang baha ... kaya gusto natin fast forward at sana summer na. Kapag summer naman ayaw natin ng init ... so how we pray na tag-ulan na.  Kahit maputik at least hindi ka nanlilimahid sa pawis at usok.

Kapag tag-lamig naghihimutok ang iba dahil hindi uso ang pagpunta sa beach at hindi nila masuot ang pinagkakaingatang two-piece.  Kung tag-init naman gusto nila magka-perfect tan pero kung natutong sa init at sunkissed na ... nagumpisa na magpunta sa mall para bumili ng Kojic at Likas papaya.

Kapag summer ... patok na patok ang halo-halo at fruit shakes at nilalangaw ang batchoy at lomi. Pero huwag ka ... pag-tag-ulan ulit ... nabaliktad ang sitwasyon balik sa freezer ang halo-halo at selling like hotcakes ang pagkaing may sabaw.

Sala sa init ... sala sa lamig! Nasasakyan mo ba ang utak-Pinoy?

Summer Irony

Kung tag-init ... gusto nating magtravel (sa Boracay for example) para MAG-WALA! Para makita ka at makita sila (to see and be seen). Pagkatapos mag-wala ... anong nangyari ... at gusto mo ulit MAKITA and iyong sarili?

In English ... during summer we travel so we can LOOSEN UP a bit after having a TIGHT and hectic schedule ... something like TO LOSE ourselves even momentarily. What we didn't expect was after this summer fling ... why are we in full mode trying to FIND ourselves again?

Gusto magwala ... at siya nga'y nawala? Ngayon hahanapin ulit ang sarili. Saan sa buhangin? Confusing ba? Itong si Raul talaga!

Dreams Big and Small

I have rainbow-colored dreams ... and it comes in different packages - big, small, king-size, jumbo, or extra-large. The size depends on my mood or it comes with the territory?  Whatever the size is ... I found out that people have strange ways on how they received or accepting the dream when they heard it.

Dreams that are SMALL ... I have problems divulging them to BIG ambitious-minded people. They say ..." why that small when you can have something extra?"

Dreams that are BIG ... I have problems telling small-minded homo-sapiens as they can easily get overwhelmed and swamped.

And dreams that are EXTRA LARGE ... I have problems sharing them with the extra-careful meticulous person who had their eyes laid on every detail and wants adults like me to do baby steps every step of the way.

The Stair of Success

Had there been SMALL-minded froglets making it her business interfering and meddling that your ambitions are too BIG for comfort?

Cut her out of the picture. Dreams whether big or small ... needs the same labor and dedication, so why start small when you are favored and propped to something big.

Big dreams have small beginnings. Once you know your game plan ... approached it with steady,  consistent but careful steps.

It Doesn't Cost To Dream

The path to success is not rose or flower-littered. Expect the unexpected.  There will be major and minor bumps, jolts, and thuds somewhere along the way.

Condition yourself that there will be hardship. Posture yourself to be COMFORTABLE with UNCOMFORTABLE. Tough times are in the forecast.

It doesn't COST us anything to have a dream. But there is a little difficulty we have to endure ... and that's a little PRICE we have to pay for dreaming big.

Check Yourself In The Mirror

Isipin ninyo, tuwing may problema ka ba palaging iba ang sinisisi mo at hindi ikaw? Dapat marunong kayong manalamin ... because the mirror doesn't lie ... para makita ninyo agad ang problema ... na ang problema ay nasa harapan lang naman ninyo. Palinga-linga pa kayo at nagmaang-maangan. Unfair naman yong ikaw ang nagtanim at nagpunla ng problema ... pagkatapos iba ang aani at magsalo ng sakit dala nito.

Tapos na ang pagbulag-bulagan ay pagbingi-bingihan.  It is time to own up the problem that you created.
