Did Robinhood Padilla do his homework before going to this Senate hearing? It looked like he didn't. He did not even learn from his past when internet memes were poking fun at him when he suggested aerial cable car system will solve the traffic in Manila.
This time around he made fun of himself when he insisted that the Coast Guard is run by civilians ... the way he knew it.
So hoping he can make pogi points when he asked these questions to the Usec ... then the military men ... and then Professor Jay Batongbacal ... lo and behold ... all three invited guests answered in the negative to Robin's surprise.
Did he expect all countries in the world to have their Coast Guards run by civilians ... the way the Philippines does?
I could almost see his face turn crimson-red ... and given the chance he could have wished the Senate floor would just swallow him alive ... because of shame.
