Robin Padilla Under The Microscope

The number 1 Senator Robinhood Padilla is making the Halls of the Senate ... a Wall of Shame ... as he insists he knows more than their invited guests. Robin maybe was not weaned off from his moniker "The Bad Boy of Philippine cinema" ... he could not get over that ... as he might think ... he is also the Bad Boy of the Philippine Senate.

In one of their senate investigations ... Jay L. Batongbacal a lawyer with degrees in Political Science and Law from the University of the Philippines, as well as a Master of Marine Management is their resource person.

From out of the blue ... the senator quipped he had some questions for Batongbacal ... "What?" my friend reacted ... Did the senator ever know how to address their guest with a little civility or respect.  Even elementary students knew politeness and courtesy go a long long way ... and the way the senator acts ... he was bereft of good manners and right conduct?

The way the senator conducts his questions to the Usec as well as the men in uniform present that morning and their resource person Professor Jay Batongbacal ... is that he was always on the lookout for opportunities where he can go for the jugular (attacking or criticizing the opponent in an aggressive way) or could pin them down easily ... making him feel he is far more better than them.

And the tone of his voice ... hindi kagalang-galang.  Para lang siyang nakipag-usap sa kanyang mga kakosa sa Bad Boy or sa Baby Ama ... and he is oblivious of the fact that he is already in the Senate ... where his actions or words can be magnified and scrutinized ... and any aberration can always make it viral. 

When he said "Wow ha ..." to punctuate his lack of knowledge ... it spoke volumes that he had nothing to offer. Gusto lang niya magpa-IMPRESS ... pero hindi nga niya ma-EXPRESS kung ano ang tinutumbok niya ... at nag-boomerang pa sa kanya ang mga questions niya. Look at the reactions in YouTube ... he becomes the laughing stock and the subject of ridicule. Sana mag ala Lito Lapid na lang siya. Na kung wala kang mabuting sasabihin ... manahimik ka na lang.

In internet parlance it is already cliche to remind everybody to ... "Think before you speak"... Once you say it ... there is no turning back!
