This is where it all began. The name of the hospital is Al Jahra Hospital, in Jahra Kuwait, the first hospital I worked with in a foreign land - the hospital that honed me and my skills to where I am now.
From a lowly surgical staff groping his way to the top I became the head of the surgical department in two years' time. And from there, there is no stopping my drive and my appetite for excellence.
After 5 years I was promoted to clinical instructor, something I was hesitant to do at first knowing that the people I am going to teach speak Arabic. How can you impart knowledge and disseminate information if the language barrier becomes a roadblock and looked like a Damocles sword waiting to fall and spoil my quest for more? (greatness ... recognition ... promotion)
I accepted the challenge, however ... and the hardships, the rigor and the hard knocks is another long story to tell.
