Sa Ibon Man ... May Juan Tamad Din!

Mga tol ... situation lang naman ito as what the image suggest above. In America, it is standard and typical for adult children to move out of the house at age 18. 

If they can't maybe there are reasons to it like he is somebody with physical disability ... or he doesn't have work to support himself ... he is not emotionally or psychologically mature ... or he is just plain LAZY (like the proverbial  Juan Tamad) and thinks it is the parent's responsibility to attend to his needs till their dying day.

Ngayon may isang joke circulating around na bawal na raw gamitin ang ALL OF THE ABOVE sa mutiple choice questions sa school. Whether it is true or not pinatulan ko na rin ... maka-post lang sa blog. It is like hitting two birds in one stone. Going with the flow lang naman ang takbo ng utak ko.

So sa question kung aling caption ang bagay sa image sa itaas ano ang pipiliin mo? Ayaw ko namang i-paint ang mga Juan Tamad in a bad light ... so we injected a little humor sa mga options. Here we go ...

a.  Hindi ako TAMAD ... ayaw ko lang na ako ay MAPAGOD. 

b, Hindi ako TAMAD ... MASIPAG lang akong magpahinga.

c. Hindi ako TAMAD ... "yong taong utos dito at utos doon" ang tamad.

d. Hindi ako TAMAD ... antokin lang.

e. Hindi ako TAMAD ... gusto ko lang ang follow up at continuation sa naputol kong panginip kagabi. Ayaw ko ng putol-putol ... gusto ko may continuity.

f. All of the above

Kung ang sagot mo ay ALL OF THE ABOVE dahil feeling mo tama naman lahat ... using all of the above is awkward at hindi SWAK and appropriate in today's parlance and lingo. 

Tinanong ko nga ang mga estudyante (who happens to be around) kung ano ba ang term na dapat ihalili dito ... (to go with the times ... and fit in with the demands of the changing culture) and they chorused:

SANA ALL!

Hugot Lines

Somebody shared this Hugot Line. After careful thinking ... I thought of sharing it with you.

Sa mga taong hinihingan ... I know makarelate ka sa feelings ng nag-share. Hindi kita ma-blame kung minsan nauubusan ka rin ng pasensiya lalo kung ang natira mong pera ay hibihingi pa.  Kung ibigay mo ang pera mo ... paano ka na lang? How can you survive kung ipit na ipit ang budget mo? At ang perang para sa iyo ... ay ipamigay mo pa!

Sa mga taong humihingi ... sana huwag kayong magtampo kung minsan may "sumpong" ang hinihingan mo.  Intiendihin mo na hindi lang ikaw ay may pangangailangan. The person has his needs too. Kung binigay niya nga ang natirang pera niya sa iyo ... hindi ba kayo nakonsiyensiya na nagugutuman siya dahil ginagawa niyang UNA ang mga pangangailangan mo?

Please try na maghanap ka ng trabaho mo. Kung magkapera ka ... diyan mo nalaman how hard it is to think na nagtatapon ka ng pera ... at lagi panhuli ang sarili mo sa pila.

Is The Chocolate Resort an Eyesore?

 

The Chocolate Hills controversy is making a lot of twists and turns. After watching: Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho we learned that the Department of Environment and Natural Resources made a quickie resolution establishing the temporary closure of the resort.

The response of the Captain Peak Resort manager Julieta Sablas gives us a cue that this story will drag on for months or years. When she said they were given approval for the construction of the resort area, I was given the preview that this is going to be a legal battle of the year ... as this will involve more actors in the story - both local or national.

To make matters worse ... when she said:  "Sa lahat po ng mga nag-comment na negative po ... sabihin ko sa inyo, salamat nag-trending ang Captain's Peak Resort. Ang sakit eh. Sasabihin ka na, 'Bakit giniba mo 'yung mga Chocolate Hills diyan sa Bohol?' Wala naman kaming giniba."

Parang sinabi na rin niya na: "Kami ang ginigiba! Interesting! With that said ... I will be watching this story on the sideline expecting more fireworks and pyrotechnics.  The resort's owner has his own story to tell ... and so is the local Bohol government. Expect more collisions when the DENR will flex its legal muscle starting with its Official statement. 

They want to close the resort temporarily ... and their declaration was aimed at preserving the iconic landscape of the Chocolate Hills and promoting sustainable tourism while protecting the biodiversity and environmental integrity of the area,

I need more popcorn in the next weeks to come ... so I can lie on my recliner to savor and enjoy the legal minds battling it out for a primetime showdown.
