Miss U Scandal

After Paula Shugart resigned as President of the Miss Universe organization - there is a looming Clash Of The Titans in Thai Courts in the coming months... unless Paula throws the case out of the window ... and just forgives and forgets.

Now another brouhaha is brewing perhaps the most damning scandal to hit  in MUO stable ... and this has something to do with a series of leaked videos taken in a meeting between Anne Jakrajutatip and co-owner Raul Rocha and Cynthia de la Vega (the new National Director of Miss Universe Mexico that replaced Lupita Jones - Miss Universe 1991)

The video has now gone viral ... now a certified scandal ever to hit the pageant world. It is creating a ripple effect ... and is dwarfing previous records in any pageant scandal Richter scale. It was met with strong social reactions of outrage, anger or surprise when it started circulating.

The leaked videos centered on Khun Ann's true intentions and why MUO had spread its wings to include women past their prime, mothers, divorced women, transexuals, plus-sized women, and the no-age-limit policy that became sky-is-the-langit scheme in the name of being INCLUSIVE ... all-encompassing and all-embracing. The cat is now out in the open ... as the leaked video reveals their "communication strategy" is just a ploy to trick us into believing their inclusivity and transparency efforts.

The eye of the storm centered on Khun Ann's words: "They can compete, but they cannot win. The whistle-blower was identified to be Rodrigo Goytortua - Mister Tourism International Mexico 2014 who has worked under the MUO umbrella and was recently terminated.

Now MUO is threatening to put their intent to pursue legal action ... and in their latest released statement, they claimed that the video was manipulated as they emphasized their unwavering stance towards the value of inclusivity, transparency, and integrity.

Slip Of The Pen

A slip of the pen is a mistaken piece of writing when something else is intended.

It refers to unintentional errors made while writing often involving mistakes in spelling, grammar, or using incorrect words.

Sa slip of the pen na ito ... 5 interpretation lang ang mabuo sa nakabasa nito.

1. First interpretation - pagkatapos mo mag-eat all you can ... bibigyan ka ng libreng sabon ... bilang pasasalamat sa pagkain mo sa eatery nila.

2. Second interpretation - Pwedeng kamayan ang style sa restaurant na ito ... at pagkatapos mong kumain ... pwede mong gamitin ang sabon nila para may panghugas ka ng mga kamay mo.

3. Third interpretation - Honest mistake ... hindi talaga alam ng gumawa ang right spelling ng SOUP.

4. Fourth interpretation - Yong fried chicken nila ... baka sabon ang gravy.

5. Fifth interpretation - The mistake was not deliberate or had no bad intent. Tao lang ... nagmamadali lang kasi.

Kita ninyo? Kaya kung kayo ang na-atasang sumulat ... basahin ninyo at i-proof read ang mga pinapaskel ninyo. If I am the owner of the restaurant ... I will be extremely offended dahil ayaw kong ... mag-boomerang ang sisi sa akin ... at sabihin okay lang sa akin ang mga glaring errors na ganyan.

Slip Of The Tongue

An occasional slip of the tongue ... or a slip of the pen is normal and is quickly forgiven by the person listening or reading... that is ... if they even notice it. Even when they do, most people most of the time will recognize a slip of the tongue or pen for what it is and realize that what you meant to say or write ... is not what you did say or write.

I was shopping at CitiMall in Passi City last Sunday when I saw a Filipina and her white hubby in tow doing groceries ... and suddenly the lights went off.

Hubby: BROWN-OUT at this time of day?

Wifey: It is all fun in the Philippines honey ... and that includes POWER OUTRAGE!

Then she gave the Filipino shoppers who were amused at their exchange ... a look as though she was saying: "O kitam naka-English ako."

Look lady ... just so you know ... POWER OUTRAGE is not the same as POWER OUTAGE!
