Funny Signage

If you are a grammar police who usually gets irritated and cannot stand your penchant for the use of the fractured King's language ... incoherent sentence structure and semantics ... mind-boggling syntax and word coordination ... this nook is not for you. 

But traveling from Aparri to Jolo ... we encountered signage in the streets that managed to put a smile on our faces ... even though Robin Padilla's grandiose display of bad opinions ... or China's flexing his superpower muscle ... has riled up and angered our tender sensibilities.

We are here to celebrate (not mock) the little cracks and flaws in the manner we communicate ourselves. All of us make mistakes ... and at a time when a kilo of rice at 20 pesos is next to impossibility ... we need a little outlet to have a hearty laugh.

And no matter how over-use the cliche goes ... Laughter is indeed ... the best medicine.

Oy... huwag tumawa. Porke bat magaling ka magpronounce and mag-enunciate ng mga English words ... mamaliitin mo na? Masisisi mo ba kung Bisaya ang dila ng may-ari ng bahay? Pati spelling apektado!

Parang si Curlee Discaya (na taga Antique) Ang pronunciation niya ng DPWH ay DPW-etch. na parang nang-eetching lang kay Ping Lacson sa Blue Ribbon Committee.

Mabuti na lang nagpapasensiya na ang butihing senador/chief PNP at hindi man lang niya naisip na hindi na siya ginagalang. Or hina-harass siya ng puntong Hiligaynon? Hahaha.

Going back to the image ... hindi man lang pinupunasan ang kanilang switch? Ang dumi ... kasing dumi ng spelling niya.

Ang Mga Nangungutang Ay parang Mga Alibangbang

Ang mga nangungutang ng pera ay parang mga "butterflies in the garden" ... LALAPIT-LAPIT at PAPILI-PILI ng mga bibiktimahin.

Pag oras na sa pagbayad para silang mga "caterpillars in their cocoon" ... TATAKBO-TAKBO at TATAGO-TAGO sa utang at naniningil.

Hugot Lines

Be man enough to accept responsibility sa lahat ng pinaggagawa mo.  Ginusto mo yan ... panindigan mo.

Sa totoo lang ... ikaw mismo ang sumisira sa sarili mo. Ikaw ang gumagawa ng mga desisyon mo ... and you never ask the opinion of others ... dahil sa isip mo kung maging successful ang ventures mo ... solo mo rin ang credit.  

Pagkatapos kung mabulilyaso ... maglinis-linisan ka at maghanap ng taong sisihin mo at pilit mong nilalayo ang sarili mo sa mapanuring hatol ng mga tao. Kasalanan nila ... at hindi mo kasalanan. 

Kung nagkamali ka ... nagkamali ka. Pero ang sisihin mo ang iba ... at sabihin mong sila ang rason kung bakit ganyan ang estado ng buhay mo is the height of hypocracy ... at hindi katanggap-tanggap.

 Time and again, as a person from the outside looking in, we have seen the imagination and the inventiveness (creativity and uniqueness) of man through ancient, classical, modern, and contemporary arts. Some of these art and literary masterpieces are displayed in cultural and history museums.

 Now, you can see man's creativity in all aspects of endeavor — from architecture, cuisine, and fashion to literature, music, and films. In fact, you can almost say that creativity and innovation are embedded in the everyday lives of everyone.

The feature above may sound too minor to some ... but some nuggets of artistry ... is evident. It is the START.
