You Can't Place a Crown on the Head of the Clown and Expect a King

Andrei Sleigh, the creative director of Miss Supranational is battling it out with Nawat Itsagrisil, producer of Miss Grand International.  This has the makings of a battle royale and they are using the internet as the arena to voice out their heartaches and sentiments.

Andrei Sleigh of Miss Supranational has shared enough soundbites and/or ammunition that egged me to start a new thread for Nawat.  It is quite amusing that whatever Nawat says or does, quotable quotes from all sectors are branching out, like a little tree trying to spread himself so wide.

And this is how it all started c/o insider's report:

Nawat.tv: I am very wonder Miss SupraEarthquake, who will crowned?

And then Angkol's Manager Coco seconded: I can't hear clearly what she said...Supermarketnational??? What did she buy? Who is she?

And then Andrei of Supra responded a cryptic message: You can't put a crown on a clown and expect a king.

What does Andrei Sleigh mean when he said that?  Simply put, he meant:

1. Nawat for years now has been able to look at pageant fans squarely in the eye and say ‘we guarantee 

our quality.

2. Andrei may also mean You can put a crown on Nawat being a  clown, but that doesn’t make him a king.

3. It can also be interpreted this way. “You can’t place a crown on the head of a clown and then hope he 

turns out to be a king.”

4. “You can't put a Crown on A Clown & expect Coco to behave like a Queen.

Entitlement only leads to disappointment because you can’t hang on too long to anything. They’ve given Nawat a microphone and a song to sing. He’s saying big old words, and he doesn’t know what they mean. You can’t place a crown on the head of a clown and then hope he turns out to be a king.

Delusional Nation?

What do you call a person who has limited himself and narrowed down his vocabulary to delusion, deluded, delusional, and delusional Filipinos?

Three things:

1.  He is repetitive, annoying, and monotonous

2.  He has nothing more to offer.  He has not lived up to his superstar Member writer status when all his topic revolves around one theme - delusional Filipinos.

3. He is obsessed, preoccupied, troubled, and haunted by delusional Filipinos.  I wonder how he lost sleep over this, how his condition negatively affects how he thinks, feels, and behaves.

When the person is not even aware of what he is doing and when these clinical symptoms become persistent, it interferes with a person’s ability to experience or anticipate pleasure and significantly interferes with functioning normally in daily life.

Come on Ian, you can do better than that. There are a lot of important issues in pageantry that need to be tackled and resolved other than being fixated with delusional Filipinos.  You can delve deeper on issues about fan's toxicity, what's going into their psyche, how Miss Universe improve their production numbers a la MGI, the pros and the cons of a virtual pageant vis a vis holding it live,  how religion or politics interfere with the decisions whether to join or not to join like holding the pageant in Israel or how pageantry survived Covid or what to do to have a Covid-free pageant.

You see there are a lot of topics you can choose from. All you need is to open your eyes and smell the coffee. Start by making a thread of your own not gate-crashing on a heated discussion and disrupting them like it is your business.  We would gladly discuss these issues with you without resorting to name-calling, racism, and the like.

Delusional people, you may think we are, but we can also be rational, analytical, and reasonable when you offer topics for discussion that need to be resolved.

Vietnamese Fans Attacking Miss Earth

Handsama wrote "I’m actually surprised to see some Vietnamese fans attacking Miss Earth when the latter had nothing to do with whatever Misso posted.  In fact, Miss Earth gave them their first taste of a major international crown and not long ago we were all celebrating their win. I wonder why Nawat is some kind of Pied Piper for Indonesians and Vietnamese. Nawat offered misleading and deceptive enticement and these people took the bait. Nawat lured them to follow or imitate him, or give them false or extravagant promises and these people took it to hook line, and sinker. And he gave them the titles that they long for but what's the catch?

By making them an armada of attack dogs and return the favor by following Nawat's battle cry NO TO WAR ... BUT YES TO INTERNET WARS and wars against Miss Universe, Miss Earth, and Miss Supranational.

Do these people have a mind of their own?  Nawat wants them to stand and they stand.  Look at Coco ... she has been manipulated to do things that are despicable and loathsome. Look at the Indonesians the way they fought Miss Supranational.  Nawat gave them their first international title, and they thought they can do the same to Miss Supra by buying? their candidates to win thru internet votes?

What is that?  You win the internet votes ... does that mean Indonesian voters select the winner? Stupid set-up!

Do you know what toxic fans and obsessive fans have in common?  They are two peas in a pod ... almost identical. They are obsessive people who go around spreading hate, rumors, and gossip about other groups, which is totally unnecessary. They hate Filipinos to the core... that's the main thing. 

My young son has a very good definition of haters - they are the people who secretly wish their beauty queens could win as many pageants the way the Philippines does.

Too bad their beauty queens always fall short of their country's expectations.  Keep on dreaming, sir. Your students in the academe are laughing because you just stoop to an all-time low, you spend more time in pageant fora than in school. A teacher acting like a juvenile FAN?
