Was It Plagiarism?

Just like what I say below: Whatever Inday said bumabalik at nagboboomerang sa kanya.

I am apolitical ... and I don't side with anybody. But social media has been draining our patience as they bombard us with political issues ... to the point where we are almost puking ... ad nauseam.

The latest bomb to hit the VP is the allegation that her book Isang Kaibigan (which is now ready for distribution) was allegedly a plagiarized version of Owly authored by American Andy Runton as some social media practitioners have speculated.

One lawyer however said it is not plagiarism ... the book has just some copyright issues ... whatever that means. He'd better come out soon to explain his points.

What is plagiarism in the first place? Wikipedia defines it as the representation of another person's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work. It is stealing the work or ideas from another source as your own with or without the consent and acknowledgment of the original writer.

The word “plagiarism” comes from the Latin word for “kidnapper” and is considered a form of theft, a breach of honesty in the academic community.

Inday was quick to respond and deny the allegation: "it is easy to write a short story based on personal experience. You don’t even need to copy." she reasoned out.

“Ang proyekto ay para mahikayat ang mga bata na mahalin ang pagbabasa at sumulat ng sarili nilang kwento,”

(The project aims to encourage the children to love reading and to write their own stories.)

“Hindi ang libro ang problema ng bayan kundi ang kahinaan sa pagbabasa ng ating kabataan.”

(The problem of the nation is not the book, but children lagging behind in reading.)

Gosh ... when are all these problems stopped for Inday. My advice for her is to zip her mouth.  And better still ... tone down the attitude.

I still believe in  Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace ... but with humility comes wisdom.”

Matthew 23"12 added: "Those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

It was ominous ... with all that is happening in the last few days ... I could almost smell blood ... and the budget hearing for OVP has its gory details.

I don't usually do ambush interviews, but what happened the other day was so tempting that I needed to feel the pulse of the public. And true enough ... the opinionated madlang people have a lot to say.

I saw a group of netizens in the coffee shop, and I also asked for comments from friends through FB, and the comments were almost slamdunk.

Everybody has their opinion. For what it is worth ... let us accept and respect what they say.

Mindset and Viewpoints: What can you say sa bardagulan sa 10 Million pesos budget para sa libro about FRIENDSHIP sa senate budget hearing?

Netizen 1: Hindi magandang halimbawa sa mga bata. Gusto mo magturo something about friendship ... pero kabaliktaran ang nakitang example.

Netizen 2: Ang naghihingi ng budget ... is war-freak. Feeling entitled?

Netizen 4. Iba ang tinatanong ... iba rin ang sagot. Did I smell evasive ... or defensive?

Netizen 5: When the heart is full ... the mouth speaks. The budget hearing however is not a perfect forum to air her grievances..

Netizen 6: She had a bad hair day ... and displayed temper tantrums on national TV ... it looked condescending.

Netizen 7: Did she wake up at the wrong side of the bed ... or mainit na talaga ang ulo and just waiting for a willing victim to unleash the wrath of Gods.

Netizen 8: Nagmukha siyang plastic.

What's the point?

Netizen 10: Hindi naman pala tumulong ... what good reason is there para ungkatin yon? So juvenile. And vindictive.

Netizen 11: Natuto na siyang tumira. Pero for crying out loud ... piliin naman niya ang tirada na hindi nagboboomerang sa kanya. She throws a "curve ball" ... pag bumalik sa kanya hindi naman marunong sumalo.

Netizen 12: Sa West Philippine Sea wala siyang comment ... pero ngayon she see to it that she throw her punches. Too bad ... palagi itong sablay. Wrong comment ... at the wrong time.

Avoid These Animals In The Workplace

Animals That Should be Avoided in a Workplace. They don't possess the right attributes employers are looking for.

1. Snake - they are ambush predators, traitors, backstabbers, and double dealers.

2. Sloth - they are lazy and work-shy. They are averse to work or they just want to avoid it.

3. Tortoise - They are shy and timid. The workplace needs pro-active thinkers, not somebody who will curl up and hide.

4. Parrot - They speak their minds without any worries about whether somebody will get upset or not.

5. Jellyfish.  They have a deadly touch or they can give you a kiss of death.

6. Spider - They can spin an invisible web, a manipulative and deceptive act followed by a passive waiting game to catch unsuspecting prey.

7. Turtle - They are slow-moving and un-energetic. They are almost dreamy and procrastinating.

8. Dogs - They love to lick the boss's ass to get what they want. They are too friendly with big bosses and people in authority.

9. Bats - They are nocturnal ... so they can't possibly work at daytime. Besides they love nocturnal outings and wanderings which makes them somnolent in the morning.

10. Guinea Pigs - They are instinctually wired to hide ... and prevent self from being seen.

10. Vulture- They feed on carrion and dead and decaying flesh almost similar to people who prey greedily on others especially the helpless.

11. Crocodile - They are drama queens. They can give you a phony display of emotion ... insincere sorrow or remorse. The expression "crocodile tears" comes from the fact that crocodile release tears triggered by eating. (fake crying)

Caption That

A lot of sob stories and heartbreakers had a happy ending because people never say die.  They kept on trying to persevere even when there was no hope in sight.

It really does not matter how slow and tedious the process is ... as long as you don't stop.

Never Give Up. Even when the odds are stacked against you. Let us always hope against hope.

In the image ... even when the frog is ready to throw in the towel ... he holds on throttling the pelican's neck hoping that if he can't breathe ... he has to spit him out.

Alice Guo - Naka Alice Na

Here is the latest s-LICE of news sa mga madlang people - saan mang metropo-LICE at acropo-LICE sa bansa.

Sp-LICE videos said ... she made an exit backdoor ... going to Ma-LICE-ia, Singapore ... then Indonesia.

I am saying this without ma-LICE. Si A-LICE ay parang kuto ... (louse or hair-LICE) magaling tumali-LICE at magtago saan mang may buhok. Insekto silang matu-LICE who make their home in human hair ... and feed on the hosts blood and flesh  (f-LICE).

Di ba sa nature ng trabaho niya ... making her office as a cover to hide the four S - seamy, seedy, sordid, and the squalid side of POGO ... they basically feast on the victim's blood and flesh.
