Yon pala nakapila ang mga naniningil ... dahil maraming pinagkautangan.

From What I See

Family is not about giving in to your son or daughter even when you feel they are on the wrong side of the road. Giving in is enabling and you become an accomplice and an accessory to what your son has become.

Family is mustering enough courage to mirror your son's image and show him what kind of a nincompoop he has transformed when he decided this life's direction.

Second Chances

The more chances you give to an erring loved one, the lesser regard they will give to you as a person. They will brush off the high parameters you have stipulated because they know you will melt like ice cream and give them again another chance.

They see you vacillating like a pendulum and more often than not they expect that you can't just leave them like that. They feel cozy in their seats knowing that you will "forgive" them anyways... and you will "forget" in the long run. 

A word of advice?  Don't let people become complacent and lose respect for you ... just because you are a nice person who has the habit of giving excuses and accepting behavior that you would not normally accept.

To All Enablers

 

A wake-up call to all enablers:

We maimed and dismembered the leg of a person who is strong enough to walk because we choose to baby or carry him.  He like that ... by the way.
