Responding to Netizen's Comment

Netizen's Comment: The Philippines Gabrielle Basiano failed to win back-to-back in Miss Intercontinental 2022. Vietnam stopped it. Another failed back-to-back looming in the horizon is in Miss Globe 2022.  Are Filipinos ready?

Gabrielle Basiano- Miss Intercontinental Philipines 2022

Viewpoint and Mindset Response:

And just to redeem the Philippines in a matter of 1 day from the vitriolic criticism care of pseudo-Filipino hater/basher mizzyshay12, Alexandra Mae Rosales won last night the Supermodel Worldwide 2022 in India.  Now if you are a fair Filipino (using the Philippine flag) in your marquee, you have to go out of your way to celebrate with us.

But if you are another nationality pretending to be Filipino what can we expect from you but racial hatred and biased opinion,  You are actually selling your opinion in this forum but it seems like nobody is buying and basing on the negative feedback you are getting, it is something not to be proud of.

The last time you berated the Philippines, I gave you a long list of Philippine winners in 2022 just to prove my point. And if I am like you who gloats every time the Philippines wins, you will bleed to death because after that long list there are about ten or so later winners that were added to the long and winding list and not to be excluded about 20 runner-up spots. Who can beat that record?

I will reprint them if you like but I am not that juvenile to froth in glee.  I just watched from the sideline how The Philippines cemented its claim that they are really a pageant powerhouse.

Face Reality

Sa mundo ng walang katiyakan at puro SEGURO ... dito ako SIGURADO!

Parents left their children at home ... with good intentions - to help the family financially ... and to cope up with the demands of sending their children to school.  Hindi para magpakasarap sa America.

Ngayon kung hindi maintiendihan ng mga anak yan ... the parent doesn't need to keep repeating explaining themselves!

The Irony of Life

I was watching Tawag Ng Tanghalan quarterfinals and I was floored by the honest confession made by Kelvin Silvestre from San Ildefonso Bulacan.

The irony of life was there when he said this: "I am working in a real estate company ... and ironically kaming pamilya wala pang sariling bahay ..."

Just like my friend in America, a nurse by profession who said this:  "I am taking care of children of strangers (she worked in a Pediatric ward) of people I don't even know. The irony was I am stuck in this business of caring ... and the price I have to pay? I left my children under the care of my Mom."

That May Seem That Way

I don't want to be negative, but I saw no point in OFW being jubilant especially now that the dollar is equivalent to P59. Those earning dollars may think that their salaries are now worth more in Philippine pesos.

That may seem that way, but the OFW's families are OFFSET and UPSET by the rising prices of basic goods ... especially food and transport. Whatever increase in the value of the OFW's dollar remittances ... the family realizes it loses its monetary worth because of the skyrocketing price of commodities and services.
