I don't want to be negative, but I saw no point in OFW being jubilant especially now that the dollar is equivalent to P59. Those earning dollars may think that their salaries are now worth more in Philippine pesos.
That may seem that way, but the OFW's families are OFFSET and UPSET by the rising prices of basic goods ... especially food and transport. Whatever increase in the value of the OFW's dollar remittances ... the family realizes it loses its monetary worth because of the skyrocketing price of commodities and services.
