Questions That Don't Have Answers

Filipinos love a good riddle and answering crossword puzzles. Our desire to answer all the questions and completely finish the job gives us some kind of titillation, the need to continue and persevere until we accomplish the task. It tickles our brain cells, and we feel mighty proud once the cryptogram is decoded.

People ask why everybody loves Jessica Fletcher of Murder She Wrote? Or Ben Matlock or Jake and the Fatman.  Well,  they always solve mysteries.

Too bad, there are a lot of questions and mysteries out there that we may never learn the answers to their intriguing nature. The universe is far-reaching and its mysteries limitless, and there are many things that even geniuses have their arms raised upwards because they don't have answers to some of these queries. 

Let’s explore some of the questions that there are no answers to.

Short Circuit

In Senator Imee Marcos and Karen Davila's exchange, the senator said" Oh Karen it is nice to know you are still here in the Philippines." 

Karen could have used more fire and brimstone by responding" I can go to the US anytime ... unlike your family," but she holds still ... sobriety made her maintain equanimity. And she knows displaying juvenile temper tantrums on national TV turn people off.

So at the end of the interview, we got a clear picture of who's classy and who's not. And Karen was a picture of grace under pressure.

Why is it that the time somebody appreciates the value of a person ... is when he losses him for good?

Like your parents who provided food for the table and shoulder the bills, you were not even aware it existed ... and you scolded them like you are the parent.

Or your best friend, who was always there for you and you end up leaving them because it was the most convenient way out.

Or your Dad who was been a good provider ... and now that he is gone ... it is time for you to fill up his shoes and be a good provider yourself.
