The Kakampink Nation felt that the response from BBM's camp and addressing the Vice President as Mrs. Robredo was disrespectful and irreverent. 

In a response, Marcos Jr’s spokesman Atty. Vic Rodriguez accused Robredo of “deceiving” the public.

“Mrs. Robredo and her yellow crew can no longer deceive the Filipino people as we have all been awakened from their propaganda of lies, falsehood, and politics of deception,” Rodriguez said in a statement.

“In the spirit of Lent, I admonish you not to pass on to us your brand of fake, hateful, negative, and gutter politics,” he added.

Rodriguez also reminded about Marcos Jr’s goal is to achieve unity until the very end.

“Presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos has based his campaign solely on his call for unity anchored on the strengths and merits of his vision and platform for the future of our country, especially the youth that has resonated throughout the land and we shall keep it that way until the very end.

“Enough of your deceptions.”

After peddling the manufactured lewd videos of Leni's oldest daughter Aika the Pink Barangay fired back with more stinging verbal tirades and diatribes. Here is the sampling:

-Rod Singh -Mrs. Aquino - kasi housewife lang daw. and because they don’t like to recognize her as President.

Ngayon, Mrs. Robredo? Bakit? She’s VP Leni Robredo. ATTY LENI ROBREDO. Meanwhile, BBM will always be Marcos Jr. Not Atty. Not VP. And never MR President. Also, LIES!

 Netizen: How do I make myself a responsible voter?

Response: You will be a responsible voter if you do your assignment right and make your own research. Much like looking for your lifetime partner, you need to check the candidate's profiles and where they are leaning on societal issues - are they for or against the war on drugs, attacks on civil society, freedom of media, gender identity, red-tagging, abortion, death penalty, human rights violations, same-sex marriage, pre-marital sex, corruption, overpopulation, and poverty.

You also need to check for what people say about them both pros and cons and research their reviews and the current projects they are in. If they are congressmen and senators, look for headlines that show how they respond to critiques and opinions, what campaign promises they made and kept and what laws they have authored and passed.

And while we are at it, listen to their platform and how it will affect you.  Research is tedious, sluggish, and time-consuming but in the long run, it may be worth your while.

Netizen's Comment:  I thought Steffi Rose Aberasturi is retiring.  She was also engaged recently to a longtime boyfriend Karl Arcenas. So what's this latest rumor about appointing her as the next Miss Supranational Philippines 2021.

Response: 

One pageant site has bannered intriguing news that said: There are strong rumors circulating that Steffi Rose Aberasturi will be appointed as Miss Supranational Philippines 2022. Whether true or fake something is off (something unusual ... something is not quite right) hearing that news.

Now don't get me wrong.  I am a true blue Steffi Rose rooter, but her failure to get the judge's nod in MUP 21 may have caused her to sing an off-key and discordant out-of-synch refrain about pageantry - the work she so dearly loves.  From a "llamado" and the toast of the town, she was just a hairbreadth away from clinching the crown. Indeed last year's fight was grueling and heartbreaking - and this might have dampened her spirit and disheartened her in any way.

After Bea Luigi Gomez's victorious journey, confusing news about Steffi has been circulating. First, there was the news that she finally bade adieu to pageantry, and her announcement garnered front-page attention ... and putting more salt to the wound it coincided with Emma Tiglao's pageant swan song. That was a double whammy of sorts for the industry. 

Second, there was this news of her engagement with her long-time beau Karl Arcenas that almost killed everyone's hope that she can still change her mind but it looked like the betrothal is now a prelude that she is hitting the sack ... which means ... she is retiring and is leaving her pageant dreams for good.

And now this news of APPOINTING her Miss Supranational Philippines 2022?  Quoting my friend May: "If I were Steffi Rose, I will be insulted by whoever concocted this plan!  I can win crowns on my own merit, and I will not settle for less, especially appointing me to a crown I have not worked hard winning it. This will be totally unfair to the other girls who have invested a lot of sweat, time, and effort honing and fine-tuning themselves so they can be the best representative/ambassador of the Philippines to Miss Supranational."

If this plan is true do you share the same view as May? Will appointing Steffi Rose as Miss Supranational 2021 defeat the purpose of joining the pageant and the tenets of fighting fair and square was grossly violated? Will appointing her honest and decent - it is like doling out a major crown to lure a retiring candidate from going back to the saddle and doing an unfinished job? Is it fair to other candidates or do they need to holler to start a protest?

Appointing a candidate had been done in the past by a lot of pageant organizations. And that only happens when there was no contest held to select the winner. In rare cases, it happen also when the actual winner was dethroned because she was unable to do her duties being the winner. 

In this case, if the news is true that Steffi Rose will be appointed, without passing the selection process in Miss World Philippines, it really makes a lot of sense if May considered something is wrong in the picture!
