-Viewpoints and Mindset: It looked like the netizens could relate to what Mia Magdalena said. A spectrum of reactions sprung up either in defense or against the insinuation that the inflation was Marcos-related.  They become defensive, triggered, protective, or resistive.  Or just sugar-coating the fact that the inflation is worldwide and not just confined to the Philippines. Some comments become too mindless for comfort that yes it is okay to have inflation for as long as you don't blame it to the President. From a simple comment, the paranoid trolls become political and they have to protect the status quo at all costs.
