The mushrooming of support from former military and police officers to the Queen of Pink and presidential wannabee VP Leni Robredo repudiates and debunks several attempts to paint and red-tag the Vice President and her group. This is according to former Senator Trillanes IV.
Trillanes according to reports said: “Judging by reports, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is already a battalion of former military and police colonels and generals that has gone proudly pink.”
The former senator also added: "If there is some kind of hesitation that somehow they believe the disinformation campaign against Leni is true, they will not sign the manifesto of support in the campaign for Leni. "If there is a molecule of doubt in the part of the retired officers, they will not put their hard-fought and hard-earned reputation in harm's way if they are not sure that Leni can rev up the next step to being the President of the Philippines.
Names that came out were retired police Major Gen. Generoso Cerbo Jr. and retired AFP Major Gen. Domingo Tutaan. They intimated that there are a lot more in the AFP and PNP ranks that grow fondness with Leni. What they saw in her is her moral strength. and her integrity. They said Robredo's battle cry “Sa gobyernong matapat, angat-buhay ang lahat (In an honest government, all lives are uplifted).” It is not just a trademark or a rallying cry, you can feel the sincerity that she will deliver.
And adding more salt to the wound retired AFP chiefs-of-staff namely Emmanuel Bautista, Jessie Dellosa, Hernando Iriberri, and Eduardo Oban Jr. joined the elite group of support.
