Miss Universe: Filipino Designers Playground

It looks like the Miss Universe Pageant has been the playground of many Filipino fashion designers. Whether it's the 70th anniversary or the 69th, there is no stopping the mad rush to dress the beautiful women of the universe. Pinoy designers have already established their names and even the Johnnie come lately couturier were given the chance to showcase their masterpieces.  Not content with dressing Hollywood celebrities, they are on the lookout for other venues ... and pageantry  (especially Miss Universe) became the willing playing field.

There's no way to eclipse the ubiquitous presence of talented Filipino fashion designers, whose gowns grace the international pageant stage year after year. In fact, we're willing to bet that most audiences don't even know just how many creations from our own shores make it to the arena. Our designers never fail to make our country proud.
