Short Circuit

My friend said: "Abortion is anathema to religion-leaning countries like the Philippines. As you see two-thirds of Americans favor abortion in some or all circumstances.

"I'm sorry to burst your bubble ... and granting majority is in favor of it ... but numbers let alone the MAJORITY don't make an abortion is RIGHT!"

The Irony of Life

It is ironic that new graduates who could not find work shun away from working on the farm. They would rather stay home idle than work under the sun's heat.

Are they ashamed of the nature of the work ... or they don't want a calloused hand?  But reality bites! The food they eat at the table and the money their parents are giving them come from their father's sweat from working under demanding temperature changes on the farm.

Duterte, tutuluyan kaya sa ICC? | #FactsFirstLive

Responding To Netizen's Comment

Reader's Comments:  When cable cars became an overnight sensation, thanks to Senator Robin Padilla, I can't help but wonder about the real cause of traffic. And if you may ...  what are the possible solutions if there are any?

Viewpoint and Mindset Response:

I think the real cause of traffic is congestion.  There are just too many people in Manila. Why do people migrate from the province to Manila? Factors such as poverty, lack of economic opportunity, land shortage, and low living standards in the provinces are PUSH FACTORS. While prosperity, opportunity, available employment, and higher living standards in Manila are Pull Factors.

Possible solutions?
1. Manila needs to be decentralized - meaning the control, dispersion, and distribution of activity need to expand to other provinces ... and not only in Manila.
2.  We need to develop infrastructure in other potential burgeoning metropolis like Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Baguio, and Davao. The center of improvement should not solely be given to Manila.
3. Build infrastructures in the cities mentioned above. It will surely attract investors, and if there are investors ... there is work.  If there is work ...  that will make those planning to migrate to Manila give their decisions a second look.
4. Although the standard of living is high in Manila ... make a uniform and fixed minimum wage from Aparri to Jolo. Does that make sense? Why go to Manila for a minimum wage of P537 a day, when you can exactly get the same thing in Iloilo?
5. How about limiting the sales of cars? And how about imposing a bigger tax?
6. And those without parking lots should pass the eye of the needle before they are allowed to buy a car ... or you will see them double parking, parking in a one-way street, parking without hazard lights, or worse parking in your driveway! And how about parking near a bus stop, in front of a hydrant, or in a handicapped zone?
7. We should limit also car ownership to one per household.
I have more suggestions but I will stop from here ... Sorry guys ... I got carried away!

1) DECENTRALIZATION OF METRO MANILA

2) DEVELOP INFRASTRUCTURES IN OTHER POTENTIAL BUSINESS CENTER CITIES LIKE CEBU, DAVAO, SUBIC, BACOLOD, ETC. 'WAG MASYADONG MAG-FOCUS SA METRO MANILA IN BUILDING INFRA. BUILD TRAINS, SUBWAYS AND OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPO IN OTHER POTENTIAL CITIES. BY BUILDING INFRAS, IT WILL ATTRACT INVESTORS. AT KAPAG MAY INVESTORS, MAY TRABAHO. HINDI NA KAILANGAN PANG LUMUWAS PAPUNTANG MAYNILA ANG MGA NASA PROBINSIYA.

3) MAGKAROON NG IISANG MINIMUM WAGE SA BUONG PILIPINAS, PARA HINDI NA PUMUNTA PA NG METRO MANILA ANG MGA TAO NA GALING NG PROBINSIYA PARA MAGTRABAHO.

4) LIMIT THE SALES OF CARS. IMPOSE A BIGGER TAX.

METRO MANILA IS CONGESTED. MARAMING TAO NA ANG NAGSISIKSIKAN DAHIL NANDIDITO ANG SENTRO NG KALAKALAN. MAS MALAKI ANG SUWELDO SA METRO MANILA COMPARE SA IBANG REGIONS.

HERE'S MY SOLUTION FOR THIS TRAFFIC:

I am sorry guys I get carried away.

The Irony of Life

Parents are usually not AFRAID of death.

What they FEAR is the kind of life their children will have once they are gone.

Nasaan na ba si Marcubeta? Congressman this is the time na magcharity ka naman.

Kaya mabuhay and salute to all kapamilya's.
