Twisted sense of morality? It seemed that year in and year out, we voted for candidates whose sense of right and wrong, or their sense of good and bad, was skewed and was in question.

In Tagalog, the word "assumed" has negative connotations in today's parlance.

When used colloquially pwede mong sabihin CJ is "asyumera" or "presumera." Wala pa ngang announcement ang organization nag-assume na na siya na nga. Word: Pera-lized

Definition: Kung wala kang pera ... hindi ka makabangon. Isa itong sakit where a person is unable to move their body, especially when they can't do shit because they don't have money or cash ay hand. They are practically penniless or stone-broke.

It has almost the same symptoms as when somebody is paralyzed, it is characterized by a patient's inability to move or raise either of their lower or upper extremities or any part of their body.

When somebody doesn't have money, they practically can't move ... so stay at home na lang sila. Ergo, kung wala silang pera ... hindi sila makagala. Tulog na lang buong maghapon.

Some accidents and illnesses can cause paralysis ... so does pera-lysis. 

If you were in a MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT ... you were transported to a hospital in an ambulance... only to have CEREBRO-VASCULAR ACCIDENT (CVA) later because the hospital requires a deposit in six digits for an urgent operation. 

Pera-lysis can also result from emotional trauma.  Mental and emotional anguish can make you feel paralyzed and pera-lyzed to move on with your life. 

How can you move on ... when, after the accident ... you need another six-digit figure to enable you to be discharged from the hospital?
