Pageant Result: Miss Universe Philippines 2024

The winner of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 was  Chelsea Manalo from Bulacan. Stacey Gabriel-Cainta was first runner-up, Ahtisa Manalo-Quezon Province - was second runner-up, Tarah Marie Valencia-Baguio- was third runner-up, and Christi Lynn McGarry- Taguig- was fourth runner-up. The pageant was held last May 22, 2024 at MOA Arena at Pasay.

Your Honor ... Di Ko Na Po Maalaala ...

After a long and winding saga in the Senate Court with Bamban mayor accused of being a China asset ... chaired by Senator Liza Hontiveros ... at least we were able to establish that:

- Alice Guo is the Mayor of Bamban Tarlac.

- That Alice lives on the farm.

- That she is in a home study program.

- That she has not seen her mother ever since and was living alone.

- That she lives by herself on the farm.

- That she can't remember the people who took care of her when she was a child.

- That she can't remember if she has a best friend or classmate.

- That she doesn't have a memory of her childhood.

- That despite living on a farm as a child ... she has a chopper. a beautiful house, big businesses, and that his father sends her money from China to the tune of half a million pesos
monthly?

-And did I say ... she was living by herself in the farm?

Senator Loren Legarda is up to his teeth ... and she almost lost her cool saying "Ano ba ito ... paulit ulit na lang!"

By the way, when is the next hearing? If you are waiting for the continuation of this unfolding Pogo drama ... arm yourself YOUR HONOR with patience because we will have more of the same script from somebody who is eel-like... and slippery ... in the fashion ala Jonathan Morales in a senate hearing regarding PDEA leaks chaired by Senator Bato de la Rosa.

Did I say she was living on a farm? You will hear more of this line next hearing ... Whatever is the reason why Mayor Alice kept repeating this line ... I wonder.

A Friend In Need ... Is A Friend Indeed

 “A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed” is an old proverb.  If we have to believe how ... and when it begins it dates back around 1450 AD.  But the moral and the lesson that it teaches have their roots and can be traced back to the 400 B.C. work of the ancient Greek playwright Euripides.

The message and lesson of the story espouses true friendship meaning sticking together especially when times are hard and weary.  There was a similar story of two friends who faced a scary bear together. When they got lost in the forest and met the bear, one friend pretended to be dead to protect the other.

Friendships are important in life. Good friends can help us deal when times are down and out. They give us company ...  make us laugh, and give us good advice. The qualities of a good friend are important and some people have a better ability to connect with others. Friends are the ones who are always there to help us through the tough times in life.

Malapropism

Malapropism is switching or swapping a wrong word (intentional or unintentional) to a word with the same chime or sound as the intended word. 

If it is intentional, some people resort to malapropism to pull off a comic stunt ... or they come off with humor lines provoking laughter and mirth.

Word retrieval problems are usually age-related changes in the brain ... or mental health conditions ... at times neurological.

                       You become UNINHIBITED because you are on an UNINHABITED island?

Statement: The survivors of the plane crash were marooned on a UNINHABITED island.

Malapropism: The survivors of the plane crash were marooned on UNINHIBITED island.

In malapropism, there seems to be some sort of aphasia-like situation where the person is having trouble finding the right word ... to finish his statement.

It seems like there is some sort of a blackout in the person ... instead, he switched or swapped some words to a word that sounds like the intended word.
