Election fever brings out the worst among Filipinos. The election fatigue is jumping out of our ears so to speak and to think there are more than ten days to go. I'd be naive to not even give a hint of thought or acknowledge fairly what I gathered from the conflicting portals. Words can hurt, feeble it may sound, but it's not immoral to be telling, some detractors like to say. I've read worst and to benefit the doubters, I hardly paid serious attention. There are noisy groups who leveled their worse criticism of the VP as to have, "i.e. flunked the bar exams, not 1x but 2x." Other groups of global reach accused BBM of falsifying his academic credentials claiming he's a brat who had benefitted handsomely but was bereft of the aptitude to complete even his undergrad course. No denying this, I like to think the VP and the dictator's "namesake" down the line of loyal advisers are fully aware that issues like this or that can be unearthed from the abysmal past.
Moral: When inundated with tons of information beyond our depth process, we cling on to our cherished values and belief system. Each of us has a conscience. There's no lesser substitute than heed what is rightfully ours to not get drowned in the ensuing confusion!

Failing in bar or board exams is not an issue for me. I failed my qualifying exams before going to America and just like RUBBER BALL I bounced back and prove to all and sundry that failing the first time doesn't mean the end of the world. We can always try again and look ... I am heading a department dominated by Americans and other South Americans beating them on their own turf. As a pro-Kiko defending Leni, she can fail once, twice, or did some remedial class for all I care. But what counts is the way she turned around from being a mother of three to a congressman, to now a VP, and who knows what the future holds for her in her quest for the presidency.
And while we are at it let me take this opportunity to write some quotes, some little nuggets of wisdom on failing and fighting back. These mental flashbacks were busy percolating in my subconscious and insisting they need to be seen in print. So here they are:
-Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.
-Failure doesn't come from falling down. Failure comes from not getting up.
-Never let a stumble be the end of your journey.
-Failure is a bruise ... not a tattoo.
-Failure is not falling down... but refusing to get up.
-Failure is temporary ... giving up makes it permanent.
