Filipinos are suckers for ridiculous superstitions and pamahiin to welcome the New Year and to prevent bad luck from creeping into our doorsteps.

Even if there are no studies to prove whether these peculiar beliefs are true, some Filipinos still care to try. Why not? As the oldies say, "Wala namang mawawala kung susubukan, diba?"

Let us have a toast for 2023.  Why don't we envision a different kind of hue and glow ... a different kind of blush to start the New Year right.

Ang tigas talaga ng ulo ko. Nagprepare talaga ako ng ubas, lechon, pancit, alak, mansanas at kung ano pang mga bilog-bilog sa New Year, 

Wala pang alas dose ang ubas ay "nauubos"  na, ang pancit for long life repolyo na lang, ang lechon wala nang balat, ang alak wala na kahit isang patak ... dahil lasing na ang lahat. Bad sign ba ito at patuloy ang paghihikahos ng Pilipinas?

Ang pulang sibuyas ay P500 na ang kilo. Ang mga inaanak ko isa-isang kumakatok sa pintoan. Ang dami ko nang problema at iisipin.

Dumagdag pa yong sim card registration at ang mga babala kung hindi mo ito magawa on time.
