Netizens' Comment. Are you for voter education to know the candidates? What can you say about BBM not attending the debates?

Response: As an outsider looking in, I am for voter education.  And voter education can be achieved if BBM will attend the debates. Despite the negative perception thrown at him, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. That's why I keep on hammering, that he needs to attend so he can show the people the person that he is, and he can defend himself from all the accusations. I have seen the first half of the Comelec-sponsored debate and it was an eye-opener seeing the candidates in the flesh and blood and educating us on why we need to vote for them.

As I told you before BBM is a prolific and first-class debater and he holds his candle when placed side by side with the more aggressive Cayetano. Knowing his capabilities how can he defy Comelec's rules and its sanctions?  And why deprived the Filipinos of the chance to know him better by way of debates?  And why suffer in silence, and why encouraged his critics to continue their wrong perception of him if he can straighten them out in the debate and with a straight-face simmer down the embers of all accusations and allegations once and for all? If people believe that all accusations about EJK, the murders, and the money stolen were false, the more I will encourage BBM to attend and hammer the head of the naysayers by hitting them with the wand of TRUTH.

What are the reasons why we will vote for BBM?  It is simple and if we believe in voter education, and if we believe the debates can squeeze a little further to extract truth that will help the undecided (that is including me) to weigh the pros and the cons of who to vote for.

The debate is almost over and I never heard of any issues that BBM could not answer. He can always ace those questions. And I didn't hear anything that touches on his family's past either.  Indeed it was a missed opportunity. The debate could have showcased his ability as a leader, and he can even outshine everybody by offering more problem-solving tricks tucked in his sleeves.

His non-appearance is still a mind-boggler to me, it is like seeing sleepy Joe Biden taking a nap while Russia invaded Ukraine.

There are still other debates in the future, maybe BBM can reconsider joining the elite group.  But if he insists on not showing up, then I know now where to put my support.

I want to see my president present in the thick of things ... and in the place where the ACTION is.
