Netizens Comment: The Miss Universe Organization has 3 Queens of Asian descent. Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu is Indian, Miss USA R'Bonney Gabriel is of Fil-Am, and Miss Teen USA Faron Medhi is of Indian descent. Asians ruled this year and I just hope this will pave the way and they campaign more to stop Asian hate.

I like that. I just hope the three will have a concerted effort in making their advocacies intertwined focusing on Asian hate crimes.

But before they place the horse before the cart, they should ask themselves ... was there really a hate crime? Or do those Asian victims just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Indeed the attacks on Asian Americans are alarming and something needs to be done. However, ask yourself how many attacks are really racially motivated. In my understanding to be legally classified as a hate crime, the offender should explicitly verbalize they are doing the act of violence and are committing this crime because they are hostile to that group. (Like Asians are stupid ... go back to your country) A case in point is the attack in Seattle where a man declares "Asians should be put in their place" after giving an Asian woman a slugfest.

But reports show in recent case studies there was no such declaration whatsoever. Indeed there is a spew of these attacks for reasons criminologists are still trying to understand. One theory was that Asian Americans became victims of murder and assault without being specifically targeted.

One friend postulated and hypothesize Asian Americans are often stereotyped as docile and shy which makes them attractive targets for mugging or attack. This racial bias and stereotypes can still make Asian Americans vulnerable even if explicit hatred is not the reason they are being targeted.

Another friend theorized that Asian hate is somewhat linked or connected to some racist reaction to Covid as former President Trump ridiculed it as a "CHINA virus".

Places We Visited: Disneyland

Disneyland  (also known as the happiest place on earth) is a theme park located in Anaheim California. We visited the place three times on three different occasions and we never get enough of it. It is a theme park for children and also for adults with a kid's heart. For isn't being "forever young" is not a question of age but a question of spirit - enjoying small things and being happy with almost everything.

Disneyland has a lot to offer. There are too many adventures to choose from, somebody has to make their "must-see list" in order to maximize your experience especially if you are visiting only for a day. There's Main Street USA where you see the breathtaking Sleeping Beauty castle.

Disney also features a lot of lands 

1. Tomorrow Land -Rockets To The Moon, Autopia, Space Mountain. Star Wars Launch Bay, Trials of the Temple, and Disney's monorail.

2. Fantasy Land - King Arthur's Carousel, Peter Pans Flight

3. Adventure Land - Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, Tarzan;s treehouse, Walt Fisney's Tiki Room

4.  Frontier Land - Big Mountains Mountain Railroad, Mark Twain's River Boat, the Sailing Ship Columbia, Tom Sawyer's Island, Golden Horseshoe Saloon

Then there's Main Street USA, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars Galaxy Edge Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Star Wars: Rise to the Resistance, and Mickey's Toontown.

In the evening, there's a parade where you will rub elbows with Disney characters. Elaborate fireworks show synchronized with Disney songs is added attraction and how about Tinker Bell flying above Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Thrill rides at Disneyland and California Adventure Park are on the milder end of the spectrum, using breakneck speeds, exciting drops, and hairpin turns. In short, although you’ll certainly get an adrenaline rush, you should leave ready to take on another attraction, not feeling like you just escaped an untimely death.

When it comes to the most scream-inducing attractions, the best Disney Park for thrill rides on the west coast is easily California Adventure Park. There, daring guests can get their blood pumping on the tallest Disney roller coaster in the world, towering 122 feet over Pixar Pier, or plummet down an exciting drop tower again and again and again (and possibly, again and again – all on the same ride).

This is again another product of Nawat's schizophrenic mind. This move is so Aaah ... predictable. The candidates should not be treated like pangsabong na manok. They should respect their feelings and I can't blame Miss Ukraine for feeling that way. 

The wounds are still fresh, and the horrors of war leave a sour taste in the mouth and no amount of rationalization will make Nawat's proclivity for controversy ... RIGHT.  He is a user and doesn't even convince me that he has all the good intentions at heart.

Utilizing this ploy so people will talk about his pageant is at an all-time low. It is a product of a sick mind and the way I see it, the organization lacks sensitivity to the feelings of Ukrainians ... even to Russians!
