Some Questions About Borrowing Money

Question: Anong mga saying or proverb ang alam mo about borrowing money?

Answer: "He who is QUICK to borrow ... is always SLOW to pay."

There is another one. "I hate it when people are HAPPY to borrow money from you ... and then get MAD when you want your money back.:

                                       ****************

Question: If someone has a habit of borrowing money ... is that a warning sign to you?

Answer: A warning sign is by itself a RED FLAG. Some people call it a WAKE-UP CALL.  It is a TIP-OFF that you need to be careful and on one's guard.  It is a HAND-WRITING ON THE WALL na kailangan mong i-consider na isang babala.

Minsan ka lang nabudol ... huwag mo itong gawing panata.

                                           ***************

Question: How necessary it would be to pay back borrowed money?

Answer: Paying the money you borrowed on time shows what kind of person you are. It gives a positive picture of you and builds a responsible reputation of your name. The lender or the financial institution sees... that you can be trusted.

Trust when BROKEN ... can never be MENDED.

                                           *****************

Question: Is it alright to say NO when someone borrows money?

Answer: YES ,,, who doesn't need money anyway? Be sure not to offer any explanation as to why you can't lend.

Ang isang mangungutang worth his salt can bend your explanations to his advantage, making you pick that hard-earned money at ipautang sa kanya.

                                              *****************

Question: What are some tips for lending money?

Answer: Huwag kang magpautang sa hindi mo pa kilala. If you know that the person doesn't have work ... or doesn't have any resources ... these are red flags for you to consider.

Madali MAGPAUTANG ... pero hindi madali ang MAGBAYAD ng utang.

                                               ******************

Question: What have your parents taught you about borrowing money?

Answer: Mabuti pang MATULOG na gutom ... kaysa MAGISING kang hinahabol ng naniningil.

                                                 *******************

Question: Who is irresponsible ... the lender or the borrower?

Answer: Both.  Isa kang IRRESPONSIBLE LENDER ... if you let someone borrow your money ... when you know for a fact na hindi siya makabayad.

Isa kang IRRESPONSIBLE BORROWER ... kung walang hiya kang nangungutang ... kahit right on the get-go wala kang panong magbayad.

                                              *******************

Question: Can you go to jail if you fail to pay what you borrowed?

Answer: Hindi naman ako abogado ... but as far as I know ... ang hindi pagbayad ng utang doesn't necessarily mean na ang police will issue arrest warrants. Ang pagkaroon mo ng utang is more CIVIL and not CRIMINAL in essence.

                                             *******************

Question: Can you bring a suit to someone who has not paid you your money?

Answer: I think so. I often heard people saying "walang NAKUKULONG dahil sa utang." That is true. Pero puede kang IHABLA in a civil case para makolekta ang pera na inutang mo.

                                               *******************

Question: If someone borrows money ... at hindi nagbabayad ... ginagamit ka lang niya?

Answer: Tinatanong pa ba yan? Gusto mo nang AWARD ... or gusto mo UMBAG?

                                           ********************

Question: Do you have any bad experiences with lending money?

Answer:  Just recently buong giting at tapang kong NAG-TULONG para sa isang pamilya ... pinahiram ko ng pera only to realize hindi ko pa pala nabili ang gamot ko. May NAITULONG ba ang pagiging good provider ko?

                                          *******************

Question: What lessons have you learned about lending your money?

Answer: Ang hindi marunong LUMINGON ... sa pinagutangan ... ay hindi na MAKABALIK at MAKAULIT ... kailanman!

More Placements

Jane Darren Genobisa - Top 10 -- Miss Scuba International2024
Arjay Lopez - First Runner Up - Mister Deaf Universe 2024
Jasmin Ariola - Miss Deaf Universe 2024 - Winner

We can never get enough winnings and placements. November has just closed, and by my last count, we already have 60 titles to our name. Our first runner-up input is now reaching a record high.

It does not bother us that our neighbors are having a heyday when we fail to make it big in Alpha pageants. They consider the Philippines a "has been" ... a country that in the past was a record breaker, successful, and admired ... but is no longer any of these. in their estimate.

But what is happening this month is a testimony that you could not put a good country down. Yes ... we didn't score big in major pageants but the minor pageants provided a deluge of title and runner-up support.

Here are the latest ones: Jane Darren Genobisa is the Top 10 Miss Scuba International 2024, Arjay Lopez is the First Runner Up in Mister Deaf Universe 2024, and Jasmin Ariola is the Miss Deaf Universe 2024 Winner.

If one only uses their mind instead of their heart... one can be more objective in seeing the true picture.

The titles ... the crowns ... and the runner-up spots will definitely destroy their illusions.

More Placements

We can't get enough of titles and placements. Just a week ago we responded to some pretenders to the throne that they are the emerging force to reckon with in South Asia as far as pageants are concerned.

It is actually nothing to us ... they can claim anything they want ... but their rabid fan antics are bordering on being a nuisance ... let alone annoying. It sounds so juvenile and "no need to reply" may be a better option.

Our point was if you win one pageant ... that is not enough. In November alone where pageants were mushrooming like there was a pageant epidemic ... a powerhouse country doesn't need to sell itself and make inappropriate pronouncements. What happens if internet users instead of agreeing or acknowledging their statements ... challenge them ... and make fun of them. See what I mean?

A powerhouse country doesn't brag ... they just keep quiet in one corner and let success do the math. Sales pitches, packaging stunts, and promotional materials or speeches that aim to persuade others (especially people of other countries) of one's pageantry status are ill-advised ... and lacking propriety.

Self-proclaimed experts and gurus (and Fans) who have nothing to offer at all except for overflowing confidence and delusions of grandeur ... such blatant assertions bereft of proof or evidence can bring you to a no man's land (imagine the shame and the humiliation - when somebody disagrees with you.)

If you asked me a "powerhouse" country needs to be consistent with winning ... whether a major or minor pageant they figured prominently. One doesn't need to be selective about what pageant counts ... it should include all pageants. No ifs and no buts.

If a country is a permanent appendage or a structural part of any award-giving pageant like habitual Venezuela, Philippines USA, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, South Africa, Thailand, and Peru ... pageant aficionados consider these near-misses minor and insignificant because of their consistency.

The Philippines as of press time had already amassed 56 wins and titles this year and still counting ... and they also have 17 first runner-up spots,  Did you ask yourself ... had it been a better night ... 17 is a big number to add to 56 ... making their total an alarming 73 titles.

If there's a Country Of The Year Award ... look no further!
