Short Circuit

The cold morning breeze in the morning reminds us that Christmas is near.

There are also signs that remind us of the mood and the atmosphere that we are under Martial Law once again- sort of. Consider this: the NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) knock off website domains, SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) invalidates news organizations' registration, KWF- (Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino) censors books and bans them and PNP runs after film screenings.

The Irony of Life

I have worked with a lot of other nationalities - Americans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Muslims, etc. They RESPECT you because of your knowledge and competence and the people skills that no matter what color or creed you have - people can live and grow side by side with each other.

It is ironic you can't communicate anything to your family. It's either your teachings are ignored, brushed off, or fall on deaf ears and are treated with a cold shoulder.

Hugot Line of the Day

Responding To Netizen's Comment

Netizen's Comment: Wow! That's 607,600 for every PCSO employ ... I mean winners. What an early Christmas bonus. Joke.

Is there a Matimatician here who can explain the possibility of this? It smells like a rotten fish! A possible new modus operandi to cover up another issue?

Viewpoint and Mindset Response:

I CAN'T BLAME YOU FOR THINKING THIS WAY.  Indeed the result was mind-boggling!

Do you know who is the real victim here? The list of bettors who actually won the jackpot prize, and now the prize is being divided into 433.

Let's give PCSO the benefit of the doubt. Once all 433 are all accounted for at the time the money is paid and they brought their winning tickets with them ... we can always say this is an oddity ... but PCSO has proven us wrong!

Short Circuit

The fact that 433 bettors will split up and divide among themselves the ₱236,091,188 Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot prize of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office is improbable and doubtful.

Social media users find it incredulous.  This one is for Ripley ...  and one can smell a rotten rat.  The congressmen asking for an all-out investigation is a step in the right direction.

Are the Stars Out Today? Bianca King

Not everybody has a chance to brush elbows with the stars in the entertainment, modeling, and pageant industries so when the invitation starts knocking at my door ... who am I to refuse. Others may frown at it ... but it is irresistible. Well-meaning friends have given us the opportunity on a silver platter (it is like allowing us to get something easily ... without having to work on it) so when I saw the window ... in basketball lingo - an opening ... all I did was to dribble the ball ... do the lay-up and shoot it for the much-needed money shot.

Bianca King is not the usual kontrabida you see in her soap dramas.  Far from her on-screen persona ... her usual strong-willed and stubborn character - she struck me as the sweetest and fun to be with off-screen.  Pangiti-ngiti lang ... very unassuming.
