The Numbers Don't Lie

 

Looking at the figures and the numbers of peak concurrent viewers ... does it mean that the troika of ABS CBN primetime series (Batang Quiapo, Pamilya Sagrado, and High Street clobbered and dwarf pretenders to the ratings throne?

Based on the outcome ... there is a truth to the claim.

Facebook always updates us with reports on concurrent views ... and the way I understand it ... the heart of the show's livestream success is the viewer metrics. These include the number of viewers, average watch time, and peak concurrent viewership. These metrics provide a foundational understanding of how many people are interested in ABS CBN content and how engaged they are.

What is really the yardstick of streaming success?  One way of doing it is to have a quick look at the metrics to find out the show's performance. Take note of what they based their findings on:

Total Views: total number of viewing sessions during the broadcast.

Unique Visitors: amount of individual viewers.

Average Engagement Rate: percentage of live stream watched.

To understand the live streaming mumbo jumbo let us define some terms.

-Concurrent views- displays how big the viewers are watching the streaming. As viewers come and go ... either to tie up or depart from the stream ... you will see the figures moved in a seesaw motion just like the Richter scale.

-Concurrent viewers- The number of simultaneous viewers.

 

-Peak concurrent -is the highest number of viewers during a live stream.

-Total viewers -is the number of viewers who watched the show since the streaming began.

Is This Malapropism?

Malapropism is the mistaken use of a word or group of words instead of a similar-sounding word or phrase, often with unintentionally amusing effects.

More often than not, ginagamit natin ang malpropism sa pagsalita e.g. "if the weatherman says there is a 90 percent chance of PARTICIPATION in the afternoon (instead of PRECIPITATION) napagkamalan niya sa kanyang salita na tama ang ginagamit niyang terminologies. Akala niya lang yon.

Paano kung sa pagiisip or sa pagkaintiendi ... malapropism din ba ang tawag doon? Take for instance the image included in this post.

Your mom says "nak ... pakicheck mo nga ang singing? Tapos ikaw instead of looking to know kung luto na ang rice ... you put a checkmark on the casserole pot?

This is a case na may inutos sa iyo ... pero iba ang ginawa mo dahil yon ang pagkaintiendi mo. But like malapropism na merong comic effect ... tawa ako ng tawa sa image which is the expected outcome.

Di ba isang artista noon was cornered and was asked what are her thoughts about VIOLENCE in movies.   Sukat ba namang sagotin ang isang seryosong question ng: " ... gitara nga hindi ko alam ... VIOLENS pa?"

Pag sinabi sa iyo na "RICE please" while you're eating ... tapos ang ginawa mo you tumayo ka and you RISE from your seat ... pareho din yon.

Siguro nga malapropism din ito. Sa sobra nating pag-analyze ... ang simple ay naging kumplikado. Enough of this stuff.

Pagdating ng GABI ... dating gawi. Balik computer ulit at ML games. Parang graveyard shift na ang buhay mo. Hayaan na ang responsibilidad sa pamilya. Ang importante maligaya ka.

Namumula ang hasang at ready ka na ... at may lakas ulit sa isang magdamagang puyatan sa facebook at mobile legends.
