When you apply for work ... expect that there is always a DAY-OFF.
When you become a parent ... time-off or a day-off is a misnomer. There is no such thing as part-time, on-call, or per diem. You don't get a BREAK from it. It is a 24-7 JOB with no paid vacation or holidays.
