Oftentimes you don't know the worth of the person until he is gone (either he is dead or he left you). Realizing the value of the person is such a rude awakening ... it will haunt you no end that you have ignored him. Or never appreciated him,

Don't brush off the person close to you and turn a blind eye to him. You never know when they won't be there anymore for you.
