Many Filipinos believe that on New Year's Day you can make as much noise (for example the use of firecrackers) to scare evil spirits away. 

Evil spirits scared? Or was it the other way around when the evil spirits scared you as firecrackers blow up in your face? Or when they gave you a first-hand experience of how is it to look with amputated fingers.

Mga Prutas Na Bilog - Kalokohan!

Ayaw kong magiging killjoy this New Year.  Pero huwag mong iasa sa mga prutas na bilog ang kapalaran mo sa susunod na taon.

Maghanap ka ng trabaho at magsumikap ka. Think about it, kung maswerte nga yang mga round fruits at puto tikoy na yan, ibebenta ba ng mga negosyante yan sa iyo para yumaman ka? Di ba sana sila muna magpayaman?
