If a troll says: "Our life was very peaceful during martial law ... by all means, believe him. But that doesn't mean that when the family of the martial law victims said he was tortured, or his brother disappeared ... or incarcerated ... they were not telling the truth.
To best explain the analogy to a troll ... Martial Law can be likened to super typhoon Karding. When people from Mindanao say, "It was sunny when Karding paid the country a visit." That's true. And it is also very true when the eye of the storm was in Central Luzon people tell their frightful stories that Karding wreaked havoc and put their place to smithereens.
